What kind of sand did you wind up going with in the DT? Next time ( ) I will put more thought into the sandbed. I went with the Ocean Direct arag live sand, and I'm unhappy with how it has aged.

I went with the CaribSea fine grain sand ... thin layer ... Just enough for my wrasses to bury themselves ... the jawfish made his home in the rocks ... he is very happy. I may add a little more later on ... if so I will try the ESV Calcium Carbonate Reef Sand. I have seen a few tanks with it ... and LOVE the look of it! NR member Flipit13 being one of them.

Also ... I should mention ... as much as I don't want to ... but It's a risk I am willing to take ... flame on if you would like ... I bought a small Blue Faced Angel ... It's considered one of those angels that sits on the line between being reefsafe and not ... Well so far so good ... doesn't show any interest in any pieces of corals ... SPS ... zoos ... LPS ... etc.etc. I have had the greatest of luck with my angels and not being coral pickers ... the fish is just absolutely gorgeous ... and for the price I nabbed him for ... i couldn't turn him down ... gets along with my Bellus's no problems what-so-ever .... Like I said if you think this is a completely stupid idea ... feel free to flame me for it

Tank really looks great!!! Will gives your tank some perspective when you view the FTS. Looks like there is ton of room for growth and lots of swimming space. I'm sure it looks great in person.

Thank you very much ... I love this angelfish ... I got it for such a steal at the LFS ... apparently from a LFS that a bunch of the local reef club members hate ... eh ... whatever ... proof of care is in the fish ... perfect condition.



GET ONE MARIA You won't regret it!!! THe fish is just too much fun ... darting in and out of the rocks ... probably a week or so I will have him eating out of my hand.




The tank is awesome ... seriously ... upgrading to a 120 was the best idea ever ... you are quite limited in the 90G with only 18" on the side to work with ... At least for me and how and wanted the tank to look ... the extra 6" makes a world of difference!

Get yourself some fish!!! You have some BEAUTIFUL corals ... get a nice little beautiful fish to go with them!

You will kill me with how much I paid for mine ... I know this LFS owner he hooked me up with this fish for $50 ... lol ... they usually were $100 ... I have seen some places sell this fish for $250 (which is too high in my opinion) ... I would figure $100-150 is fair for these guys.

Ok I will check em' out! I am just skeptical with angels since i have allllot of softies and LPS and my bi color has behaved so far

Definitely do that ... I have NEVER had a problem with ANgels in reef tanks ... don't know how ... it has just always been like that ... maybe giving them enough food so that they don't develop an appetite for your corals.

He is soooooooo well behaved ... I know Kraylen ... Angels and reef tanks = disaster ... in 15 years of keeping all different varieties ... I have never had a problem with a number of them including the Blue Face ... it's not the first time having one in with SPS etc.etc.
