Just wanted some of your experiences on peeling a ricordia yuma off a rock. Any good suggestions? The one cap is getting big and blocking light from other white and pink yumas.

thanks

You can use a razor blade, but if any of the foot is left behind it will probably grow back in that spot.

I dont care if it regrows from a little bit of foot I just want it gone so the small ones under it dont get out competed. If more grow from the foot great. but from what I gather that you are saying is that I can injure the foot a bit in the process? and still have it regrow healthy.

thanks

I usually use a razor blade to scrape the ric off the rock with a bit of the rock to make it easier to mount it.

But you can cut rics to little bits and have them grow back smile.gif So far I've only cut them into quarters, but I'm sure with a larger one you could go smaller.
