Hey there all. I recently ran across a true pair of Harlequin shrimp (pacific blue) variants, and I noticed that the female had a rather large cluster of eggs underneath her tail (excuse my lack of anatomy knowledge) smile.gif . I am quite interested in purchasing them for my empty BC8 and was wondering if theres any information on caring for the eggs. As always, any input would greatly be appreciated.

First you will need to find a reliable way of feeding them starfish. This is a good article:

yea... i looked at this last year, no one has been succesful because they dont know what the baby harlequin eats.... but good luck, amazing invert, they tend to be really shy for a while though and eat in secrecy

youd probably have to have a tank set up specificly for the larva to develop.....ive dabbled w/ a couple broods of emerald crabs and peppermint shrimp....it aint easy...the larva are fragile
