I also picked up some nice pieces of dry rock today which will be for a new cube I got for a smoking deal.
The new cube is 24" x 24" x 20" and isn't drilled so I was thinking I might try turning it into an AIO. If anyone has any suggestions on how to set up the AIO compartments please feel free to advise

Thanks MGDMIRAGE, I found one of those clowns in the very small overflow this morning. First time it's happened but I'm happy it was the overflow and not the floor.

So the death has seemed to finally stop but not until it took some nice (and not cheap) frags. I added another urchin because the spiny rock urchin isn't doing much of anything. The new one is a blue tuxedo and I can see some areas he's munched on so hopefully he does a better job.

I have some new zoa's & paly's coming. Can't wait to see them and I pray they all arrive okay.

One of my clowns committed suicide during the night.

So I received everything today but there was a mishap. I've never had corals shipped to my home before so I guess Fedex doesn't do overnight to my place. The package was handed off to a third party(canada post) and took 2 days to come. I was pretty anxious & nervous about what I'd find once they arrived. To my relief they're all okay. The only death was a freebie sps and possibly the undata. Pics to come soon.

I'm so upset. I just went to feed the fishy's and wouldn't you know it, the other clown committed suicide He was there before I left this morning so it happened while I was out shopping. No more clowns until the new tank is finished!

Thanks. I would re-post it bigger but my computer crashed and the pic is gone. I need to take a new fts but it's a mess right now and I have a bunch of stuff moved out because of the sps deaths. I'll fix it up again soon and post a new & bigger fts.

What's left of my sps turned very brown but I can see some color starting to come back finally. I hope the nightmare is over.

I agree, always nice to see another Canreefer here. I've seen a few but there's definitely not many here.

No, the tank is sitting empty in my room. I still need to get some black acrylic to construct the back chambers BUT knowing me I'll never get around to doing it myself and probably just get one of the LFS to do it. The rock is going to take forever to cycle anyway since it's dry so I guess there's no rush. Once I do start a new thread I'll be sure to announce it here.

The Hammer, Torch, Cynaria & Brain will be moved to the new tank if I ever get around to building it :redface: I did make a slight bit of progress I suppose. I ordered StevieT's media rack which will go in the back chambers. I got the "not even released yet" cadlights 39 rack It should fit nicely in my tank.
I also moved all my zoa's out and into a 20g until the new tank is done.

My little anemone that I just picked up looks to be a Rock Anemone, does anyone else agree?

Feeding time! My Purple Porcelain Crab & Anemone Porcelain Crab feeding. I love my inverts

So I'm sitting watching the tank and all of a sudden I see hundreds of teeny tiny shrimp . I think it's my new anemone shrimp releasing the eggs but then I notice one of my sexy shrimp happily expelling all her babies. I stuck my hand in and scooped some up and they sat on my hand and did little tiny jumping movements just like the adults. I'm so ticked that I'm not set up to raise these guys. I guess it's good food for my filter feeders and corals though .

A few days ago I picked of a nice new birdsnest frag. It's called the "Bird of Many Colors" It's not a great pic but it's the best I've managed to get.

I picked up a nice blue carpet anemone and onyx clown last week. My Porcelain Crab immediately took to the carpet which was meant for the onyx clown, who decided she preferred my hammer


The Anemone & Clown are only temporary residents.

This was the scene last night before lights out. I wonder who will win? The clown finally decided she wants the anemone and is trying to evict the porcelain anemone crab. She was back in her hammer when I woke up but has since gone back to trying to evict the crab and is still having no luck. The harder she tries the more the crab hunkers down in there

I got a nice surprise last night. I decided to get up on a stool and have a good look down in to the tank when I spy two blue lines staring back at me from the overflow. I wonder what the hell because I just saw my neon goby 2 seconds before IN the tank. I look down and yup there's the neon in the tank but there's a 2nd one in the overflow. It took me a second to remember that months ago I had brought one home and it had gone missing within days. I thought for sure it had died because it was no where to be found. I had searched the floor, sump & overflow. The little brat did a good job of hiding and surviving and is nice and plump and healthy. The other blue neon also took to the little guy as if they were long lost friends/lovers swimming side by side and wriggling it's little body against the other, so cute. Gotta love a happy ending when I thought the little guy was dead .

Thanks. I can't wait to get it! It's my B-Day/X-Mas present from my husband. I have to wait for the weather to improve a bit first........we were the 2nd coldest place in North America a couple days ago. The only place colder was Siberia. BRRRRRRR!!!!
