No longer running, moved everything to a larger tank.

I completed the rock work on May 22/09...............finally, I spent 5 hours on a previous day trying to figure it out before giving up and walking away from it. When I came back to it for this layout it took me less than an hour

On May 26/09 I transferred everything over that would fit(had to sell a few things) but in the process I lost 3 of the 5 Threadfin Cardinals which I'm pretty sad about. I transferred 3 of them out of the 90g one night and the last 2 the following day. The ones I had done first went into shock(right after being caught and in the bucket, didn't even make it to the tank) and died almost instantly, it was really weird.........very sensitive fish. The 2 I transferred the following day went smoothly.

I'm impressed at the fishneedit light excpet the bulb it came with is crappy so I ordered a 250w Phoenix 14k. Here are the before and after shots.

Picked up a super cute new little inhabitant today, a Tailspot Blenny.

This is one beautiful tank!!! That's a helluva difference from the stock bulb in the side by side comparison shot!!!

Thank you I'm pretty proud of it. My only problem now is I'm running out of room to put coral already and have more on the way
Yeah, the bulb was a drastic change and I love it. Can't wait for the T5 fixture's to come.

AWESOME TANK!!! Im thinking of starting a tank that size for my bathroom Im getting ideas right now!!

The bathroom......now there's a place I wouldn't have thought of putting one. It'd be pretty neat though if I had a bigger bathroom.

I finished my basment and built two tanks in the wall one behind bar and one inbetween store room and poker table area. Sumps are plumbed to store room. My bathroom is 13 by 10 hehe MASTER BATHROOM hehe

The sump is very basic and I had no part of installing the plumbing, I left that up to my husband. The sump is 21" x 21" x 16" with two baffles. The drain area is only 4" wide with a 12" high baffle. The other baffle is 2" below that. The largest compartment contains all of my equipment. The drain pipe is on the right and it's 1", the return pipe is on the left and it's 3/4". I wish that I had of gone larger with the return so it could handle more flow but as soon as I turn up the flow the durso starts to gurgle and my tank would surely overflow.

Thank you, I'm going to have to have a peek at your threads as well. I've gone kind of zoa nutz lately but finding outstanding ones locally is not easy. I have a few new ones arriving tomorrow as well that I'll get some pics of.

Picked up a small orange coral hermit crab a few days ago. It's all orange with red claws.

My fishneedit T5 fixture's arrived a few days ago. I have one of their blue bulbs in each fixture but replaced the other 2 bulbs with Fiji purples.

I also messed around with the rock today. Not sure if it was a good move or not I took out 15lbs of it and smashed the larger pieces so I can't even put it back the way it was.

I can't wait, I'm finally going to get a Purple Death Paly & Nuclear Green Paly. I've been wanting these for a while now. I also have Skittles Paly's, Joker Paly's, a Chalice frag and 3 sps frags coming(one's a Bali Tricolor). I just hope they all arrive in good shape and I have no DOA's.

I'd be horrified to know, lol. Actually I'm kind of lucky in a sense because quite a bit of my stuff has come from a vendor who has these awesome $10 frag specials.

I'm just curious cause I want to eventually get some corals in mine, but don't want to have this goal to look like something you have only to have to stop short due to $ issues. So a ball park would be good? $200 - $500, more or less? I bet I can find some cheap frag specials in my local club. I just don't know what beginner corals to start with?

I would honestly have to say over the $500 dollar mark but let's not tell my husband that. Start with zoa's for sure.

I had one go absolutely ballistic on my SPS and eat all the polyps off my green slimer overnight. Needless to say he found himself back in the LFS holding tank the next day.

SPS polyps are part of their natural diet, fyi.

Yeah, I know they can be bad with sps but I've had my guy for over a year now and all is good so far.

Picked up a couple Black & White Ocellaris Clowns last night.
