No... The L3 is still a better deal if you're putting a full package together all at once. No other units being adjusted.

Mine is 30 miles away but even if it came today I couldnt even open it till tomorrow so no biggie.
Rehype, the SL2 is supposed to be out the end of Q2, so I assume the end of the month. My concern is will the RKL firmware be ready and will I be able to control my 2 banks of LEDs individually? I posted a couple of questions about the ALC in the DA forums but no reply yet. But as long as Scott is working on getting the SL2 and RKL firmware out faster I dont mind.

Probably noob questions but I have never used a controller of any kind
To add pH and salinity do I need to get the SL1 before?
Anyway this can be monitored remotely (online)?

The Elite can be monitored remotely with an add-on module. To monitor pH and SG you need the SL2 that has not come out yet. It should be out soon though. You should go over to their web site and check all the options out.

No "noob" questions!

and opy01 is correct. You would only need the SL2 and that will be in pre-order soon with a scheduled ship date posted!

Scott, thanks so much for offering this sale! I've been wanting to get one for some time, but just never had the incentive to take the step... I hooked my RLK up last night, by far the easier thing I've done for my tank yet! I can't wait to add more modules to expand my systems capability! Thanks again for getting my butt up and buy one of these great controllers!

Thanks Scott, it's a 12' 157 gallon (142x16x16)
Right now, I have the RKL running 3 IceCap 660 ballasts letting me create a sunrise/sunset effect; I have each one turned on in 30 min increments. With the temp probe, I have the controller turning on/off a fan to maintain temp... It works much better this way, as I'm not running the fan 24x7 and then having to heat the water that's being over cooled! Also helps keep the evap down.

I was wondering if the ALC on the RKL would run two of these.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing too with the exception is that I need to be ablr to control 4 drivers. 2 deivers would control the royal blues and the other 2 would control the whites
Digital Aquatics

At a glance, it does not look like this device has 0-10VDC inputs. Without that the ALC can not interface with it.

I have a question, can it control moonlights to represent a lunar cycle through one of the PC4 outlets or do you have to buy the RKM-MLC to simulate a cycle.

The 1-10V output on it is optional. I had to look a little harder myself but it is there.
On another note, this RKL is the best investment I have made. Now that I added this and a fan my temps stay between 77.9-78.2 and no higher or lower at all. Changing light cycle times is easy. On my old timer if the start time had passed you had to wait 24 hours for any changes to take effect, this one is instant. Now I just need to get another PC4.

Well, they were never in stock. That's one part of our store that's misleading... We don't have a "Coming Soon" tag we can put in place of the "out of stock" tag.
They should be orderable by the end of the month. We'll post more when we have it!

It does require the MLC. The PC4s channels aren't dimmable.

If the 0-10 is an option for "control" NOT driving the input than it should work... The ALC can only supply voltage (0-10VDC) no useable current for powering anything.
Hope that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense. The driver has an A/C input for driving the LEDs, the 1-10v is only for dimming control.

Awesome! My heatsink and drivers get here thursday and my LEDs I ordered on ebay should be here early next week ($5.70 each). They are Crees but the stars are somewhat different. I will let you know if they suck or not lol. Hopefully the ALCs will be in stock when the firmware is released.

Thats funny because the lights were the first thing I set up and they were just as easy as the temp. I even set my fuge light to shut off if it gets over 80 degrees. Of course with a couple of computer fans on it the temps stay right at 78. I need another PC4 to control those fans when it gets up to 78.5 now so they arent running 24/7 lol.

All you would need was another pc4. You could also buy a second rkl and have a backup head unit and temp probe for $10.

I've had the RKL up and running for two weeks now and I love it! I got it along with an SL1, float switch, and an aqualifter. It's set up to turn on the fans to cool down the tank when it gets too hot, and top off using the float switch and the aqualifter. Works like a charm.
Just a heads up for those setting up your systems, make sure low current devices (like the aqualifter or cooling fans) are on either channel 1 or 4, which are the only channels that can switch low current devices on and off. I initially made the mistake of hooking up the aqualifter to channel 2 and it failed to turn off when it was supposed to -- it just kept pulling a low amount current and kept running. Thankfully the aqualifter is so slow that I caught it before it had dumped too much top off water in the tank.
The RKL is great otherwise -- now I don't really need to buy a chiller with the RKL, the SL1, the fans, and the aqualifter. Highly recommended.
