I aquired a young Wartskin Angler/Frogfish from my friend that is having to move to another state. Today I finished setting up a standard 30x12 29g aquarium. Im debating on what direction I want to take this tank, my two choices would be a normal reef tank, but my top choice would be a tank with macro algaes and other plants.

I would like to see some other members frogfish tanks.....
I would also like to hear what you all would do on a angler/frogfish tank

Either will work, only my painted angler doesn't like bright light so sps are out of question.

My tank with single frogfish has both: macroalgae and corals, for the reason that frogfishes are changing their color eventually and I tried to keep the original bright red color as long as possible using red surroundings: background and red fern algae. Red doughnut coral could be an option, but I had seen its pictures with half of fish inside
This didn't help.

My frogfish is avoiding green algae area (can entangle itself, possibly) and soft corals. Time from time it sits on the red fern algae, most of the time - near skimmer, either in-tank or HOB.
