Is your tank set up to handle power outages? What if the heater malfunctions and cooks your tank? EARTHQUAKE!!!!

no earthquakes here....
and in the event of one, the tank is the last thing im worried about.

I have a battery operated air-pump for when the power goes out.
It werks, as ive already had to use it 2x this year.

Im gonna go buy a ups soon, but im essentially "broke" for the holidays.

-Moved Acan's and Polyphyllia to new spots.
-Removed Green Hairy Mush. [ was getting HUGE and stingy under the 70w. 5 inches in diameter!! ]
-Removed GHA patch that was under mush. [ has not grown anywhere else since I raised the Mg level ]
-Moved koralia Nano
-Installed Skimmerbox...
*looked terrible.
-Uninstalled Skimmerbox
-Added 2nd Koralia Nano
-Udjusted flow for 20 min's straight, trying to find the perfect current....

-6:30pm.... WIN.


*flow is still a bit much, but after about a week of breaking in the new Nano, It'll be all good.

So is that the answer to any tank problem? If it dont fit then upgrade? LOL I love it!

yeah, the grey in the war coral is comin back HARD...almost silver in intensity....

The teachers and staff at my son's Pre-School are all close, personal friends of mine...
...just overall great people.

This year for Xmas, they arranged to have a Santa come and deliver presents to the kids.
This is really special because the program is a state-run, free program.... w/ limited funding.
A lot of these kids may not get much else....nonetheless see a Santa this year.
(btw, this is the top-ranked pre-k school in California....and it's free. Imagine that.)

Since the program bought toys for all the kids, me and my wifey brought soda, ice cream, turkey-wrap platters, fruit trays, full stockings, etc....

the kids made cookies w/ icing and sprinkles-n-stuff, sang songs,
and all kinds of fun was had... lots of smiles.

It's what we live for as parents....
