i chipped the poor monti earlier today...

Well glue the chipped off piece to a frag plug and let it grow . I accidentally dropped my frag plug trying to get the thing off the bottom and my monti cap broke into 3 pieces. 2 are on rocks now growing happily and the rest is still on the plug growing and waiting to be sold lol.

Give it a couple of weeks and you will never be able to tell .

yea.... i just glued it behind the big peice so there would be 2 eventually.

just took alot of stuff out of the tank, fragged it, and put it in the fraggle tank.
the sand was stirred a little so some stuff is upset,
but most of the corals look happier to have the zoa's gone. (mostly gone.)

Just picked up a Tri-Color Tabling Acro...

OHYEA.

just finished all 36 pages! your tank is awesome! i love all the pictures and vids! (like the RES too. i brought home 3 that somebody dumped at my work and my hubby pouted at first, but then he named them all and feeds them all the time )

so i stopped by a LFS today that i NEVER used to go to.... "O street Aquarium"
(let's just say they never used to have the healthiest livestock)

BUT, scottyreef told me i should go back in there and check 'em out, cuz they were makin' a turn around....

man, was he right...

im gonna go in 2moro and get some shots of their AMAZING sps display/ frag tank!

some a you guys won't believe how good it looks.... i barely could.


out of the dozens of colonies and frags, sadly, i could only pick one up today

the store dude told me he'd frag ANYTHING I WANTED right there,
[for cheaper than the "established frag" price.]

when i asked him for a frag of this Tri-color tabling Acro colony, he told me it was mine for $25.

The tips are Purple w/ Green polyps, and fade down to a White base.
The encrusting base is Purple.


W/ Flash....
(the calyxes are white, so you can see the retacted green polyps inside them)








with the flash on, you can see the truly violet hue to this peice.
cant wait to see waht it does in my tank....

That tri color is sweet! It looks almost like my purple tri-color but I can see the difference between them. You got a great deal on it too!

WOW! You got some great color there. I love it when the white balance on a camera captures the true colors. Those are some awesome pics and they all look happy.

i want a new one.

I'm hoping that when I take my 28G down and my 10g contest tank goes up, it end up looking as nice are yours does This one is def an inspiration for mine.

Im pretty sure that your 10g will be as good, if not better, than mine is....
take what I've done and lern from it. then expand on it.

take yer time tho.
stock certain corals first.
make sure you know where you want them.
research your corals growth rates and max. feeler length as well.
ive lost a lot of nice peices to feeder tentacle fights.....

With my 40D if I move the camera to a darker or shadier spot the white balance changes. In fact, if I sneeze my white balance is off lol. I have to use the custom white balance half the time to get somewhat accurate color. Maybe if it were a MH or PC it would be easier but there is no LED white balance setting lol.

im really afraid to move it off the rack....its doin so well there.

I almost sold my SD630 then changed my mind since it has the underwater case that can go down to 130 feet. It will be great if I decide to scuba. But for now we just snorkel and now we have 2 underwater cameras for that. I have been told and seen that the canon power shots are some of the best point and shoots out there.

I've had 3 cameras since my SD600....all 3 made me miss the 600.
