I've got 3 K3's in my 75 gallon (no sps) and they are completely silent.

I would put 2 in a tank your size.
jeremai
Meh, one should work for now. There's patches of cyano all over the tank (lol), so I can see exactly what the flow is doing, and it seems fine for what's in there now and what I have planned in the future. We'll see.

Also, I picked up a rock with seven little toadstools on it this weekend, plus a sweet little Pseudochromis fuscus. I know, horrible first choice for a fish, but it was SO CUTE! wub.gif

Pics soon, hopefully. I broke a lens recently though, so no guarantees on quality. unsure.gif

Anticipation
jeremai
Well I'm going to Disneyland with my best gal pal this weekend, so don't hold your breath lol.

But I see you quiver with antici

Have fun at Disneyland this weekend. tongue.gif

I gots a lawnmower blenny. Unfortunately, Barney (the pseudo) is being typical for his genus and tormented poor Bam-Bam till he hid behind the Koralia. sad.gif

I also spied a tiny sprout of grape Caulerpa. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

I'll try and take some pics tonight, I swear!

Can't wait to see your pics come back. smile.gif

My favorite! Do you have a recent FTS?

I think I said "Great pics. Love the fish!"

Close enough...

I have to do a water change today and siphon the sand, it's pretty gross. FTS forthcoming.
Lalani
At least you have new sig material. laugh.gif
jeremai
omg, when I read that I could hardly believe it. too easy, lol.
jeremai
Disclaimer: somehow my camera decided to set itself to the smallest jpg setting and I didn't realize it until the photos uploaded to my comp with blazing speed (lol). Thus, I was forced to work with 1mb jpgs instead of enormously informative raw files. pfft.

These are chiton eggs, far as I can tell. they are kinda bumpy (spikey?), definitely not cerith eggs, and those are the only two motile inverts I have in the tank at the moment. that grey fuzzy thing just above the eggs is the largest chiton of the three I got from john maloney.

A couple fts's.

Nope, no soapfish. There's a Pseudochromis fuscus and a Salarius fasciatus.
jeremai
I got a new fishy.

happydance.gif
fewskillz
Fine. I'll bite.

What kind of fishy?
jeremai
itty bitty Amphiprion clarkii

I'll try and get a photo in a little bit, the lights just came on.
fewskillz
Cool fish. Lots of personality. I had one for awhile that hosted a Condy anemone.
arwndsh
We had a pair of clarkii's. I miss those fish sad.gif.

Nope, just the koralia. Eventually I'll get another one, no need to go spending all that money on a vortech though, lol.
Lalani
Why not set the lights to turn on/off later in the day? tongue.gif
Serious, mine are on from noon to midnight.
That is, unless you work really late.
jeremai
the ginger is in charge of the light schedule, he does a lot of work from home. rolleyes.gif
arwndsh
Pictures?

tongue.gif
jeremai
I didn't make it home in time, lol. I never get to see my tanks with their lights on. sad.gif
arwndsh
Well then why don't you take over wearing the pants in the relationship and change the light schedule. ohmy.gif

you know girls, make them mad and POOF there goes the sex. wink.gif
jeremai
yay, my first ever tunicates! no seriously, they're in there...

and now a lesson in what not to do, lol...

Jamie
Woah! you have a tank. where have I been?

Is that clown hosting your sarco's? My pair did that, and the coral got used to it eventually. smile.gif (but until then it was a giant ball of slime most of the time)

I think I see the tunicate... Above the snail on the right side of the main rock? You could just get a cw tank, and then you could have invasive tunicates. Those are fun. (also illegal, but who has to know?)

Tank looks good. Needs more coral. tongue.gif
jeremai
The clown has been checking out the leathers for a few days, swimming in and out of their little grove. No actual hosting behavior yet, but I wouldn't mind.

And I have two tanks, actually. The other one needs more coral though too, lol.
Jamie
I know! you can put all the coral from one tank into the other. Then, you can make the newly emptied tank a coldwater tank!

This thread needs more pictures. tongue.gif
jeremai
omg the ENTIRE substrate is covered in hair algae, lol. some patches of bryopsis as well, but it's pretty and silvery and stuff so I don't mind (yet).

this weekend I'm switching out the sandbed for something finer. blush.gif
