= superior lighting (...and catch lighting for that matter)!
VicSkimmr
Thanks! I doubt I'll ever get that shot again. Our dog doesn't sit still if you try to take it's pic, but luckily I know that the couch gets awesome lighting in the mid-morning now smile.gif

Some more snow shots

Sunset from last evening

Scott Riemer
Nice shots. The dog looks rabid in the first shot. Love the sunset. wink.gif
andykee
what lens did you shoot those sunset shots with?
BobbyL1212
The sunset reminds me of Darth Maul Zoas.
VicSkimmr
1st was with a 28-135 at 28mm

2nd was with the 10-22 at 10mm

I need to fix the white balance I think, I never corrected it.

And my dog just really likes the snow wink.gif

nice. you liking that better than the 17-40?
VicSkimmr
Eh, in some ways yes, in some ways no. It gets a hell of a lot wider, but I've found that in most instances I don't really need it.

On the other hand, 9 times out of 10 I used the 17-40 at 17mm anyway so I can easily get that effect with the 10-22 too. It's quality just isn't quite as good.
VicSkimmr
Lalani
ohmy.gif Fantastic.
nebthet
wub.gif the moon shot!
wvned
Very nice

I will have to try shooting the moon.
VicSkimmr
Thanks guys smile.gif

One more since it was clear out tonight. You know, I always thought the 75-300 lens got progressively softer as it approached the max of it's focal range, but this one was taken at 300mm and it turned out plenty sharp.

jeremai
cheese!
Lalani
You stole that pic, didn't you?
VicSkimmr
LOL!
dshnarw
nice moon!
VicSkimmr
I think these turned out better than my last set in the same spot

Thanks guys smile.gif

I don't know exactly what's next, but if I'm lucky it'll be an e36 M3 convertible smile.gif Either that or an e30 convertible. I'm looking for something that won't require a monthly payment. I'd DD my classic Mini if it had airbags (and air conditioning).

VicSkimmr
Ugh, my aquarium is still a month away from getting to me mad.gif I guess I'll just have to take shots of random things to tide me over.

Lalani
Nice! Enjoy the new lens. biggrin.gif
VicSkimmr
Oh I am biggrin.gif I'm having a hard time using it on a tripod though, or at least with long exposures I am. I guess the tripod just isn't quite steady enough.
