UPDATE --- UPDATE --- UPDATE --- UPDATE --- UPDATE --- UPDATE
ETG has shipped LEDs and lenses as of today. I'm waiting for the tracking info to update so I can get a delivery date, but I should see them by Wednesday.
First batch of the drivers (90 units) will be hitting my distributor from Meanwell 6/10/09. The remainder (51 units) will drop on 6/24/09. Not quite the 3-4 weeks that I was told before, but a far sight better than the 10-12 weeks that it could have been. I'm still negotiating to see if they will break up the shipping and not screw me for two shipping charges.

Great news. Will you be able to ship out LEDS and lenses when you have them and ship the drivers separately later?
Thanks again for putting all this together,
Ron

In an effort to reduce costs, for me and for you, I'd like to ship them both at once unless you have any major objections. It doubles my shipping cost if I have to ship twice.

Yes I do. Have I posted them? No

I knew there was something I forgot to do last night.

Pitchers

It's pretty small being only 1" long and ~3/8" tall. Keep in mind the actinics are 8" long and 1" tall. It will look pretty sharp once etched into the black anodizing, but won't stand out too much. Thanks go to cdelicath for the design.

Hi evil,
I know you are busy, but when you get a chance, can you please list the items we need to make the meanwells dimmable? Or if there is a thead already, can you point us in the right direction. Man I can't wait. I'm just so excited. I read somewhere that we may need a 10 v power supply for the meanwells. Thanks again my "teacher".

Most of the dimming discussion has been in the Meanwell thread in the Lighting forum. It will be a simple pwm circuit using a 555 timer and a few support components (two diodes, capacitor, pot, LM317 vreg and a resistor), and will run on a 12v supply. I will put a voltage regulator (LM317) on it to drop the voltage to the required 10v for the Meanwell. I have been running out of time on getting the circuit finished, but all thats left is finding the appropriate capacitor value to set the frequency. The first version didn't seem to respond well, so I wanted to up the frequency to about 2kHz. I should have a circuit built and working ready for you guys before the first batch of drivers ships.

The Satellites might be the last things to go out, just becuase there is more work on those than anything else. I'm trying my best to get them out quickly. I had thought about adding the logo to the front of those. Might look cool.

LEDs and lenses are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Should be interesting to see what this many LEDs looks like. I'll try and get the first round of shipments out this weekend to those that ordered only LEDs and lenses. Drivers are still about 2-3 weeks out.

question, may sound noobish, but do you need a driver for the pico LED lamps?
and out of curiosity, do the LED's in Sunpod fixtures not need a driver?
evilc66
May 28 2009, 07:50 AM
Pico lamps have the driver in the lamp. Just screw it into a lamp socket. The Sunpod Actinics have the driver on board, so all you have to do is plug it in. What, you think I was going to make this difficult for you guys?

Speaking of Pico lamps, They finally shipped yesterday after getting held up in customs last week for the Memorial Day holiday. Don't know if I will see them this week, but early next week for sure.

I have had a number of people ask me about this, so I might as well post an update here.
Parts are out to the anodizers, but I'm still waiting on a number of parts to come in yet. I'm expecting to start shipping these out in about two weeks. I appologize for the delay on this, but with the volume of orders, it's taking quite a while to get everything straight by myself. Please be patient.
