I was wondering if you could get discounted prices on some of the other eln-60 meanwells. I want to be able to control both rb and cw intensity and was looking at eln-60-24 or the eln-60-27

You know you will have to run strings in parallel on those units to get the per LED current down? I may be able to sneak them in on the order. The real question is whether they will give us the same price on them for being a different part number.

that sounds complicated for a complete noob, i dont think I can do that. what about the eln-30-27? or perhaps i should stick with buckpucks =(

The ELN-60-48 is the only one that you can run with a single string. It's the only one that will go down to 1A max.

Hey Evil, just want to check and make sure everything is right on my order. The list has me at 3 meanwells and 19cw and 19rb, it should be 4 meanwell and 26cw and 26rb. I paid for the full order and just want to make sure all the items make it to me.

No teasers yet. LEDs and lenses should be shipping to me next Wednesday, according to ETG. Took a little while to get all the LEDs mounted, and get the ballance of the lenses in.

Still no word from the Meanwell supplier, but I hope to have an update on that next week.

Lamps and fixtures are progressing. It's a lot of parts to fabricate, so it's taking some time. I would love to get the parts out to the anodizer next week. I'm done with school for the semester, so I have more time to dedicate to this.



On another note, I have still not recieved payment from a number of people. If you are reading this and haven't checked your PMs yet (I have sent two to each person), I need payment ASAP or I will cancel your order.

I might have to get a few more items from you if people dont pay for their stuff =D

In it he said he is running his LED light at 25% right now for light acclimation to his tank. Do you think we are going to need to do something similar with the Sunpod LEDs you are fabricationg and do the fixtures have a Pot or some other control knob to accomplish this?

well, IF you do happen to end up with some extra drivers and LEDs then you can count me in on that action.

Shouldn't be any need. You are talking about a relatively small addition in PAR over the MH you are adding them to. There is an adjustment on there is you want to use it.

Where did you find it? I'm looking for it too. I mean I know its ETG but wheres the diagram? I can't find it in the webpage...

I don't want to sound impatient but is there a status update. I'm excited to get my pieces parts and start on my project.

LEDs and lenses are supposed to ship from ETG to me tomorrow. Still no update on drivers although I have sent emails asking. Pico lamps have been reordered after the last fiasco on Friday (I'm still steamed about that), and I'm still machining parts for the Actinics and the 12" Satellites. There are a lot of parts there for a lot of orders, and a lot of work. Things are moving forward though.

Give the man some breathing room guys he's working as fast as his little pointed hooves allow.

Speaking of work Evil what kind of LED setup would you recommend for a BC29?

Yeah i found some lens datasheet on the ETG website but i wasn't sure if they were the same lenses that were ordered in the group buy. Then i looked back and found these lens dimensions that Evil had posted earlier.

It's probably the same datasheet. Cree doesn't have a datasheet that covers all the different angles, but the mechanical data is all the same.

I'll have to do it when I get home. I was hoping I still had it in my PM box, but it ended up getting cleared out.

I just want to say, to everyone who participated in this group buy, that good things come to those who wait. I waited almost 6 months for my Sapphire skimmer when I bought it on presale. I almost cancelled it quite a few times and decided I would get a tunze instead, but I managed to get by without a skimmer for a while. And once I got it I was as happy as a clam! Well, a maxima at least... probably not a squamosa... Anyway it was well worth the wait. Evil's got a lot of work to do... on a lot of different projects... Hang in there buddy! And everybody just have some patience.

I'm busy, that's for sure, but I have it under control. I even have some new projects rattling around in the old gray matter. I have to stop doing this so I can finish my own LED setup.
