Well i thought i would put my feelers out for other Nano-reef members that live the in the sacramento and surrounding areas. Eventhough i have been in the Saltwater game for more than ten years now i have lost a lot of my reef friends over the years due to them getting out of the hobby or just them moving away ( and those who i dont talk anymore back at RC....Its a long story dont ask).

So if you need any saltwater help or looking to trade items or coral or just have a beer drop me a pm. I'm up in roseville

Go to a MARS meeting. They have a auction going on April 17th looks like a lot of great stuff presented.
If I remember right, their monthly meetings are the 3rd Fri at 7pm at the Round Table on Madison near Greenback in Orangevale.

I'm also in Sacramento and I have a new Biocube 14 and I'm looking for the opposite of epicfish, lil frags to start up my tank. So far I have 3 small Zoas colonies and a small frogspawn frag. Let me know if you guys have small cheap frags you'd like to part with.

Often stop by O Street, Exotic, Jo Jo's, and Your Reef... let me know if you'd recommend any other LFS in our area.

Also, Kalypso out of Lodi is one of the MARS sponsor/vendors...they were at the frag swap in March and the owner is a really cool guy with a huge selection of sps for good prices.

We should all definitely meet up sometime, I do not have any friends that are in the hobby, just a few locals that I have sold some zoas to.

for sure, I was with a two other couples and I don't know if they were down to drive down there to go to an LFS, I don't think they understand. next time it is just my girl and I, I will let you know for sure.

Me and my roommate hit up the LFS several times a week all over Sac. Anyone who's down to kick it and chill, BS about fish stuff or go to the shops PM me for sure (don't be shy!). Elliott at Kalypso is a cool guy. Your typical hobbist turned LFS owner. Good frags, good prices. Its a smallish shop but definately worth the visit. Plus he will swap frags with you.

NVR (Northern Valley Reefers) will have their Frag Swap in Tracy later this year (October). So if you cant make it to MARS swap, mark this one on your calendar. We meet bi-monthly at Valley Brew on the Miracle Mile in Stockton (next meeting Apr 25th). Great group of reefers. I know its a bit far for you Sac peeps but a easier drive for peeps further south.

I think there will be another Baymac in May or June don't have details but is posted on BAR. I attended the first one and there were several reef clubs form all over california there plus raffles and freebies and lots of frags offered up by members of each club. There will also be spoke people there talking about topics in Reefing.

It was fun.

I will check Jojo's aquarium when I get a chance. I've been buying $5 frags at coralreefshop and they all are doing well. Sadly, coralreefshop does not carry a lot of sps. I wish I know a shop in sac that sells sps for reasonable prices.

Btw, I get my bucket of seachem reef salt for about $36 at H2O exclusives at 14th street. I am not sure I can get reef salt any cheaper anywhere nowadays.

Exotic has the best $5 frags. CRS is a little overpriced. Exotic has lots of SPS and so does Yourreef. Yourreef has better selection and the prices are fair IMO.
