I just drooled a little.

Awesome! I'm thinking of running a 36" 10 bulb powermodule on my 48" tank to reduce heat/energy costs. I have a 2 x 250w radium setup I need to unload though...

Thanks, In hindsight, I could have gone 48" with the tank, and still been alright. The light is just that good I think. If I had known what I know now, I would definitely gone 48" with the 36" Powermodule....

Those are some bad a$$ shots

Thanks man, our next swap will probably be in Vallejo, so not too bad of a drive for you, I can definitely hook you up, when you're ready.

Sounds great, that tri color rising sunset sounds really interesting. Yeah, if you decide to go, almost everything except my JMT Monti is fraggable.
fishez4alivin
I think I got my aquascape down, just need to unload a couple of corals to make room for stuff in the frag racks.
fishez4alivin
Equipment fit under the stand, including a custom sump, Schuran Jetstream 1 Calcium reactor, tank and aquariumplants.com regulator, cole palmer peristaltic pump and controller, tunze osmolator, ACJr, and Vortech drivers

I can even fit a 2 1/2 G top off reservoir under there.

Anyway, because we are about to step into summertime, i decided to hook up the chiller. gotta love the two stage Rancho controller, had to fasten it on the side, since the back has the cables for the heater and chiller coming out, making it impossible to mount

And here is the chiller plumbed in...well not exactly, its a drop in, so the coil goes into the return section....

Then i took some scoly eating sequences...

sam91
WOW that is an amazing tank and some amazing shots. What bulbs are you running in the powermodule?
n0rk
I.. I think I wanna cry a little. The jealousy is just too powerful sad.gif
fishez4alivin
The bulbs I run are from the
Front
Blue+
Aquablue special
Super Actinics
Blue +
Aqua Science 22K
Aqua Science 15K
Fiji Purple
Aqua Science 22K
Aquablue Special
Blue+

Dont feel jealous, just need to make your purchases carefully. Equipment purchases that can be used again through upgrades. I could have never afforded to get the tank, if I had to upgrade all the equipment. but because I made equipment purchases for future upgrades, all I had to do was buy the tank and stand. Plus, I've seen a lot nicer set ups for a lot less. One tank in our local club is a bare bones 55, that is super sweet. He has the tank running 3+ years, and that is something that has no price.

Here's a FTS

Freaking Awesome! Love it all! Wow!
fishez4alivin
Thanks a lot man, much appreciated.

bluenassarius
i'm very impressed with the update man smile.gif
n0rk
That scape really is one of the best I've ever seen. The use of the tank's dimensions to create something simple and unique really does come through - it'd be a shame to waste such a lovely system on anything less wink.gif

Also, that first Acro is gorgeous. What kind is it? It reminds me of an Aqua Delight my friend had a while back...
fishez4alivin
Much appreciated Sam...thanks Nork, the second acro is one I bought at Atlantis.net, they are local here in the SF Bay Area, its a tenuis, and I dont recall what they called it. Probably just blue green tenuis.
TriggerHappyDude
What camera/lenses you using for those nice shots?
foofooree
I love it!
fishez4alivin
Its not my camera, someone elses, its a Canon Xsi, not sure about the lens.
Thanks for the comments.

Traded two different Acans for this Lineatus Fairy Wrasse

Would have liked to have gotten a smaller one, but I didnt want my purple tang to kick it's a$$
Uhuru
sweet, how you gonna keep that wrasse from jumping out of that beautiful rimless tank? haha

I ordered the last 36" 10 bulb powermodule reefgeek had in stock. How do you like the Aquascience 22k vs ATI Blue +?
fishez4alivin
LOL, i had two wrasses in my other rimless, and they never jumped, although its an expensive wrasse, I traded it for a couple of Acans, so I'm not sweating it. I was going to make a top screen, but am going to risk it, to preserve the look. The Aqua Science 22K is identical to the Blue +, but the 15K, is whiter than the Aqua blue special. You're going to love the powermodule....its just that good.

Natural Sunlight pics, NSL each morning from 630-930, corals seem to have really taken to it.
RBTA

Sunset has already encrusted onto the rock, since the move, i never glue it down, and just break it off when i move it...leaving frags of it behind

Creamy blue tenuis I got from ATL

ROK Mille

ATL Appleberry

LE Superman

Ponape

reefdan
haha all your NR suckers drooling from your keyboards, i get to see this puppy in person tonight tongue.gif
fishez4alivin
LOL Dan
fishez4alivin
Added this Girdled Fairy Wrasse, traded it for some LPS and SPS frags. Gotta love the trade factor with the LFS.
JDigital
Gorgeous Wrasse!! bowdown01.gif
fishez4alivin
Thanks, my LFS, sure gets nice fish, and a bonus is he does cosignments for frags, and gives 80% store credit, so I was able to get the lineatus and Girdled fairy wrasses for a couple of acan small colonies, a setosa frag, and various small LPS and SPS frags, stuff I normally would give away.. tongue.gif
scottyreef

Thanks everyone! Sure we can trade, since you live towards Sacramento, we can do the trade at the swap in Vallejo. I still have most of my corals on my list, ive just gave away some of my more common corals, like the digitatas and a pink birdsnest. Two corals on that list, the Ultimate rainbow and Ice Fire enchinata are still too small to frag, they are going to be available in 2011, at the rate they grow..lol I'd rather just trade with club members, but I can steer you towards the places to buy almost everything I have. Just lmk which corals are of interest.
fishez4alivin
Definitely complement each other Girdled and Lineatus Fairy Wrasses
fishez4alivin

scottyreef
Hey whats the coral in the first pic I really like it. nice job

Hey whats the coral in the first pic I really like it. nice job

Thats a LE Pink Lemonade, its a sweet coral, but takes awhile to encrust, once it bases out enough,it shoots up branches
fishez4alivin
Almost at the 8 week mark

fishez4alivin
a few more

Uhuru
excellent job man, your tank is looking REAL nice!
fishez4alivin
Thanks! Whats up with your build? I want to see all that balla equipment set up! smile.gif

I unfortunately, had to put a screen on the rim of the tank, I will remove it, when I take pictures or before anyone comes over to check it out...lol

I did it for the wrasses, especially since I just got this bad boy and he likes to swim near the surface..

Looks like I need to fill my top off Reservoir, lots of micro bubbles in that pic..lol
121a
awesome tank, great scape, i wish i could haz it.

Uhuru
man I have 1 more final to go... endocrinology. 200 pages of notes to go through in 8 hours. After that and a few days rest things will start moving along much faster, even though I will be working full time - at least when I come home I won't have to be stressed out about the next exam.

I also have some screen material that I'm gonna use. I think it's totally worth the temporary loss of aesthetics. I mean if no one is looking at the tank anyways then who cares?
ianiwane
Craig the screen isn't that bad haha. I have it on my tank too. I've had wrasses jump through the screen though, lol.
fishez4alivin
Yes, the screen is definitely worth the piece of mind, and I think I will place a second screen and lay it 45 degrees to the bottom screen. That might help a little bit.

I think the flame is my favorite now, he is very social, and never hides. I think I will get him a female so he can own her lol....

fishez4alivin
The tank has hit the 4 month mark and I am pretty happy how things have gone...

scottyreef
Looking great I really hope i can keep my tank as cool as yours

Hey, I'm sorry I missed the swap, I guess you went, if you can make the next one, I'd be great to swap some corals.
