Is it just me but all the books at stores about saltwater aquariums say that they are mushroom anemones. Also false Ricordea Anemone.

They are a different order of the sub-class Hexacorallia, just like stony coral ( Scleractinia), or Zoanthis (Zoanthidea), are. (of course there are other orders I have not listed) After order comes family then genus.

i've started mixing up the BRS two-part kit that I bought like 3 months ago. I still have some b-ionic and kent tech m, but i have 2 gallons worth of the BRS stuff and their calculator is easy to use. I'm going to get my levels up to where I want them before I start testing again to see daily depletion. I'm also going to pick up a salifert alk test and say screw you to the API ones I have, lol.

You should have bought my Mr. Fosi alk kit.

Cheap and as accurate/precise as Salifert.

I've got to get better at skimming. My AquaC Remora is tough to dial in - it's being run by an MJ1200. I've never gotten any good skimmate...just the tea colored stuff.

Hmm...Fosi, not sure how the big yuma is doing...i think we might have lost the guts.

It takes time, even with a decent skimmer, IMO. I have to keep tweaking mine.

i have a six line - it's well past juvi stage, lol. it is soon to be traded. i saw a tiny one at the LFS that I thought about getting. it was cute - about 1 inch long. but they grow up and get mean like the rest.
