Midwest FragFest 2009!!

Come join the Rockford Reefers and Reef Nutrition for a reef-filled weekend April 25-26, 2009 at the Clock Tower Resort in Rockford, Illinois.

Expand you reef knowledge by learning from speakers such as Kevin Kohen, Steven Pro, Mark Eisenhandler, Matt Pedersen, and Gary Parr.

We will be offering a few workshops this year as well. There will be 2 photo workshops hosted by Gary Parr on Sunday morning. There will also be a Photoshop workshop hosted by Gary that will focus on post-processing your images. Interested in surges but not sure how to make one? Join our Borneman-style surge workshop hosted by Rod Buehler. Each participant will make and take home a 5-gallon bucket surge. (Additional charges apply to workshops to reserve your space and to cover the cost of supplies. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to reef conservation.)

Instead of a formal banquet this year, there will be a Saturday Night Social. The Social will provide a great opportunity to mingle with the experts and friends as well. Dinner will be provided and a cash bar will be available. Advanced registration is required for the Social.

Of course there will the trade show and frag swap! There will be vendors such as Reef Nutrition, Caribsea, and FAMA. Seachem will be providing free samples of their Coral Dip. Local fish stores Reef Depot, Midwest Saltwater, and Paul's Corals will be selling.

Individual Fraggers needed! Spaces are available so sign up today to sell frags and/or equipment.

Of course holding with tradition, there will be huge raffles held on both Saturday and Sunday! Bring in a canned good donation for the Rockford Rescue Mission and receive FREE raffle tickets (1 ticket/canned good up to 5)!!!!

Come bring the family and enjoy the weekend in Rockford! The Clock Tower feature CoCo Key indoor water park. Spend some time at the Burpee Museum of Natural History or the Discovery Center Museum. There's plenty of shopping and nightlife as well!

The Rockford Reefers are having a canned goods drive for the Rockford Rescue Mission at Midwest FragFest. For every canned good item brought in you will receive 1 free raffle ticket up to a max of 5 tickets. Last year we received close to 300 pounds of food and would love to exceed that this year!
