When my alk gets low, basically the flesh starts to flake off the montis while they are still alive, aka RTN. Alk is hard to raise correctly, it takes a lot of dosing and patience if you have a mature tank full or corals that gets low. Raising it too fast can do as much bad as good.

I ran out of b-ionic one time for a week. That was the closest I have ever come to crashing my tank.

The first to show signs in my tank is the idaho grape.

I couldn't remember when the last time I changed the membranes in my RO/DI filter... but apparently it's been a while. It's testing at around 107..
This may be the root of a few of my problems... Ordering new membranes now.

I'm going to try to get my hands into the tank this weekend, and rearrange things. Going to put the frogspawn and hammer lower in the tank and find places for the monti and acros. Also going to try to scape the left pile of rocks to create some sort of sideways, lopsided, horse shoe shape...

What are you planning on doing with the TDS explosion in the tank? Change out all of the water or let it run its course?

And yeah, I can frag some for you. I'll probably put them in the frag tank for a while, so they can color up. Right now, they look a little orange-ish instead of red... Could be from the lack of blue light in the tank. And it's strange, I have 2 aquablue+ bulbs and 4 actinics (three being cheapo ones though)... but the tank looks a little on the yellow side, to me.

Giesemann Actinic Plus
Giesemann Pure Actinic 03

That should come out to around 14-20k.

You could even do just one pure actinic 03 and add another 11k to it if you want. Pure actinic doesnt really do anything growth wise for your corals IME. The actinic plus does tho.

I would only have to purchase three new bulbs, as the fixture already has two blue+'s and one of the good Giesemann actinics (not sure which one). I think I've spent half of my work bonus already, and I haven't even gotten it yet, lol.
