Sweet. Good to know. Did you look into the ATI fixture at all? Heard anything about it compared to the TEK? I'm flip flopping between the two right now.

Seriously though, you said I could have a yuma, too, when the weather gets warmer. Just reminding you.
You'll get yours too.

haha nevermind then. It's the ATI 36" 4X39W Powermodule. Thanks for the advice on the TEK though!

Yes, Bob #3 is riding the clownfish... I've caught them doing this twice today so far.
Oh, FTS... I'll take one after I do the water change.

The Saints played a good game. Of course, I think some of the "the win will bring hope to N.O." etc. from the announcers and celebs was a bit over done. My hope is that the great football played by the players and the ballsy coaching is what is celebrated, because that's exactly what the Saints did tonight.

Congrats on the win, Saints fan. I love Jason Garrett, but I hate that Jerry Jones let Sean Peyton leave Dallas. Some excellent coaching tonight. Enjoy it. My team has won one playoff game since I was 11 years old...

It was a pretty good game, wasn't it? Sorry about your team.
I think I'm going to have to start dosing the tank.. Every time I do a water change, the SPS pieces have growth spurts, but apparently the good stuff is soaked up quickly and the growth slows to nearly null. All of the softies and LPS growth seems to be minute as well. Any suggestions as to what to dose? 2-part?

Keep us posted on the dosing. I've gotta get used to doing that stuff again. I haven't had a proper reef tank in over a year, been fishy-only for a while now. Moving was hard on my corals.

Your "simple" reef tank is going out the window. Might at well drain, drill and sump it too, switch to LEDs and throw in a skimmer, calcium reactor and controller

The fitfully growing SPS pieces. Couldn't get a good close up of the digi because of the angle but it's growing well.
Monti cap is the only one that has been negatively affected by anything. Lost quite a bit of tissue, but after I resumed regular weekly water changes it's growing back quickly.
Despite not feeding any of the mini nems, there must be almost 20 of them now...
Hammer... I need to find a new spot for it to be completely shaded.
Red skirts are now orange skirts.....
Daytrippers are lighter in color.
The toadstool I got from Richie was closed up at the time I took the pics, but it looks delicious!
Sorry for so many pics.. Canon XT w/Canon 100mm and Sigma 10-20mm. Some P mode, some Manual, all hand held with all pumps/filters on.

Monti's are always my "indicator" corals. They are always the first ones to show signs of stress if something is out of balance. B ionics is pretty forgiving imo, you should be okay.

try this. it works well if you take the time to get the drip rate right. you just have to make sure you keep the valves from crusting up.

Tank is really looking awesome Lani, I love it. Yumas are beautimous, I'd like to join in with the rest of the clamoring throng requesting one sometime down the road. I also agree that the Halimeda is probably strongly affecting your Ca/Alk levels, esp. in the quantities that you have it. Like you, I wasn't gonna dose on the 30g. I caved this last week and have been dosing B-Ionic. I have a much smaller amt. of Halimeda than you, and I think it's been eating up my Ca.

I can wait awhile for the shroom and the nem. The weather up here isn't so great for shipping livestock. Nope the only nems in our home are of the coldwater variety unless you count my one aptaisa.
Question what wins in a fight over space the encrusting gorg or a mushroom? If mushies win I may want some of the gorg. If not then I'm kinda scared to put it in my tank.
