You've got quite a bit of Macroalgae in there, don't you.
Zoas, Mushrooms,Yumas (<3), and Ricordea are looking great.
Blastos don't look very happy though, what's up with that?
Still got 4 lil Gobies?

Ya, still have 4 gobies.

And yes, the blastos are a little po'd right now... I put one in the 15gal and it's looking better. I guess I need to test the alk in the 40.. I'm sure it's probably low again.

I'm letting the macro do it's thing.. I like it!

You have a neat tank, I like that there's no SPS. I should throw all mine away along with the red bugs and go seagrass and softies.

Haha, I couldn't resist. Nothing overly special, but it will be small, it will be made of scrap aquarium supplies from around the house, and it definitely won't be your average pico. Some pre-planning is actually going into this one.

I'm slowly switching over to the Oceanic salt... doing a 3:1 ratio of IO and Oceanic for the water changes right now, so I don't expect to see any change soon.

so, when are you going to thin the herd? take a little off the top? do a nip/tuck?
srsly though, if you're looking to trim out any of the non-caulerpa macros, polyps, mini nems (lol), etc send me a PM. I have about a hundred dollars in my tank budget this month and it's burning a hole in my pocket.
Lalani
Oct 11 2009, 07:57 PM
lol, Jer. Oh, and thank you for saying what I was thinking earlier.. y'know what I'm talking about.

I'd gladly send you some stuff! The only non caulerpa macro I'd send is the halimeda. You really don't want the dictoya! I could spare a couple of mini nems too.

Just lemme know what all you are interested in and I'll cut your frags this week when I cut Richie's and Jamie's.

Oct 11 2009, 07:59 PM

ty.

is that thorny looking weirdness a caulerpa? I'd totally take a sprig of that, I just took all the caulerpa out of the NW9 and now the sand looks empty, lol. I gotta look through your photos, but I'm interested in whatever you think is fair for a hundred bucks. I'm flexible.

but if you screw me I'm putting a bad review in the feedback forum.

I would only charge you shipping, btw. You could use the rest of the money for a NEW CAMERA.

I think that algae is feather caulerpa, but maybe John could ID it for sure. You're welcome to it as well. I have a bunch in the 15gal! It's snaking through the sand. So, just look through the pics and see what all you want and shoot me a PM.

Oooooh, that! Yeah, I think it's a type of caulerpa. It grows in spurts in my tank, kinda strange. I think a small clump of it actually went sexual the other day (turned white, cloudy water, etc.) but it doesn't spread... I'm not sure. I'll see if I can scrounge some together for you.

I am seeing that. been thinking about this for a few months now... I already have 4 FW tanks set up. Thinking about getting a 20 long and setting that up. Might be able to pull a light hood from my planted tank. Just planning ahead. Maybe by the first of the year I will have something up and running

Beautiful as always! Love how you manage to mix the macro algae with the corals. I thought about a 40BR before I moved but didn't have enough time, love the layout of a wide tank, someday... How do you like the Vortech, that's on my list of someday as well

Photos are top notch too, no surprise there
