If you guys are in the Texas area, you shouldn't miss it!

I am really looking forward to talking with Anthony Calfo and his new ventures with Icecap. I just ordered one of the new Anthony Calfo Series 20,000k 250w halide bulbs, so Im interested to see what they're all about.

Thats awesome man, I'm definitely gonna be there and spend way too much money. There are some seriously cool items up for grabs on the raffle and the vendors list is amazing. I can't wait to see what corals are fragged and offered up for the raffle biggrin.gif

I can't wait, it is going to be a great conference!
We already have over $4,000 worth of raffle items, and that doesn't include the donations that some of the vendors will be bringing; Tunze, icecap, and a few others biggrin.gif
ddr_phish
I was just looking at the raffle list and was wondering, if I bought $100 worth of the mixed tickets how many is that? It doesn't have quantities.
cpreefguy
Good question, Im waiting for an answer to that one myself biggrin.gif The member with that breakdown should be posting it in the original thread soon.

Ah ok, well hopefully my wife will give me a larger allowance to bring with me since I missed the Coral Farmer's Market back in November. This seems to be quite the event to not miss!

some of us from Dallas are going. Unfortunately I am not though. I did see "Eric Borneman - Sustaining the Reef" at nextwave here in Dallas. And of course we see Marc (Melev) all the time here. Should be fun.

Is this the correct address for the new convention center?
1001 West McCarty Lane, San Marcos, TX, 78666

If anyone wants to carpool I can take another 1-2 people with me in my explorer (driving it in-case I win any of the big raffle items biggrin.gif ). I'll be bringing an ice chest also for frags. I plan on arriving there at 8am Saturday (and staying till it ends at 6pm), the trip from downtown Houston takes 3 hours, so I'm leaving here early. All I ask is for 10$ gas money. PM me if ya wanna tag along.

Anyone else go besides me? I won some cool things and got some great corals from the vendors there. Definitely was worth it.
cpreefguy
Thanks for coming! I had a blast. I spent waaay too much today, but I couldn't resist the deals.
It was our first event like this, it was definitely a learning experience. I'm interested to hear any and all feedback, good and bad alike. PM me if you're so inclined. smile.gif

ddr_phish
Well I definitely would of liked to see more vendors, especially for livestock, there were only 7 there. A lot of the time I spent on my phone because there wasn't much to do even though there were people speaking. I just think it was a bit small, especially since it was from 8am to 6pm (raffle didn't end till 7). All in all though I had a great time, enjoyed the fragging demo and sustaining the reef speech, and spent way too much money at zoanuts and cherrycorals. Thanks for the RO unit, its kind of funny how thats the one item I really needed and I won it, too cool.

-Josh
cpreefguy
Cool, thanks for the feedback!
I really wanted that RO unit too, Im glad you won it!
