the main plan is for it to be a patch reef style aquascape with some schooling fish and 1 or 2 really showy fish
so far i have
1 pair false perc clowns
1 pair of yellowtail damsels
1 bicolor angelfish
1skunk cleaner shrimp
1 fire shrimp
and the usual CUC(hermits, snails
Live rock was already collected 3 weeks ago from the beach together with a sand bed
the proposed stocking list is:
6 chromis (blue green)
1 Copperband (at the lfs now, doing really good takes mysis and frozen, has minor ick tho)
1 sand sifter goby (probably a yellowheaded)
1 convict tang
1 banggai cardinal(my dad loves this fish, mite as well)
here are the inspiration pics for the tank

the corals will consist of mostly large polyp scleractinians and octocorals, zoanthids, gorgonains and mushrooms, and eventually some SPS corals when i can upgrade the lighting
filtration will be by the berlin method and using an algal turf scrubber (my 20's back wall is covered in turf now and i scrape that so it would be basically the same thing, just, more purposeful
as well as a 2" sandbed using very fine sand(when i went to the beach they topped off the sand(they do that here) with some gorgeous mixed sand, hs some darker rocks, teeming with pods and other life
lighting is now 2x55w compact t5 double tube, 20w atcinic and 30w actinic T8 and some ikea LED system, adds a nice shimmer to the tank
flow is by 5 powerheads that give good chaotic flow, higher flow to the top of the tank and med flow at the bottom.
the aquascape is planned to be an alcove/cave structure on the right hand side of the tank, and a small island, with lots of swimming space, it looks more natural, and gives the fish more room, as well as leaving space for corals
heres pics of the tank so far

livestock is going in tomorrow from the other tanks
