I've never had it either.

It's yummy, and each glass has enough fat and calories to tide anyone over for a month. tongue.gif
QUOTE (DHaut @ Dec 1 2009, 11:37 AM) *
anne, how are the blue cloves doing?

Blue cloves aren't thriving. sad.gif Some seem to have been eaten by...something? They didn't melt, or look poor, they just disappeared. Maybe you want to take what's left into your tank to see if they'll in there?

Thanks, L. I never had gingerbread eggnog. huh.gif The rum is nice, but not necessary. I don't actually drink too often. It usually sounds like a good idea, but by the time I'm ready to sit and enjoy a glass of whatever, I'm too sleepy. laugh.gif

Yikes! I don't think I'm going to have time this week to make the trip. Maybe try putting them in the sump in the meantime?

You just need to start taking uppers, so that you can start drinking! tongue.gif

I have a hermit crab in the sump. If she won't eat them, I can easily do that. smile.gif

If you can have them all packed up for me around 4:30-4:45, I can come today. But I need to rush home right after, lol. Otherwise, I'm at the mercy of my packed schedule for this week.

Excellent, thanks for letting me know, Kim. I'll move the cloves down to the sump, now. cool.gif
ap123
That's how you know you're overdue for a water change.

I know, I still have to post pics. Been crazy day after crazy day around here. I've got a few minutes almost to myself right now, so I'm sitting here on NR, Baily's in hand. biggrin.gif

Oh, so sorry you're sick. Do you have a fever? Are you taking Vit C? Drinking lots of water/tea?

Most importantly, always remember--

DHaut
lol...got that long ago. i think this is the swine flu omgomgomg.gif
ap123
scarry01.gif Oh no!

Do you have a fever? I know for most it's playing out like a regular flu, but I'm glad you're going to see the doctor. Take care of yourself! grouphug.gif flower.gif
DHaut
Yeah, got all the symptoms. I had a normal flu shot this year, so if it's the flu it's a good chance that it's h1n1.
Militant Jurist
I had something similar a month or so ago.... turned out to be a new severe allergy. Now I'm hopped up on steroids.

Maybe it will turn out to be something wierd. You haven't licked any pigs lately, have you?
DHaut
let's hope it's not that, then.
ap123
Uh oh, look out for MJ roid rage.

Going to chat

Is it that things in the tank go wrong at the least convenient times? Or is it that they seem the most wrong when you don't have time and focus?

My big leather the clowns host in detached --or fell--from the rock it was attached to. Don't have any putty left, so I figured I'd just move it somewhere else temporarily. Yanno this took longer, and more effort, than first expected.

I'm one of those sensitive types--skin, that is--so I had a thin glove on to shift things around. Well, the glove got a tear in it, and my hand started bleeding. Not tons, but enough that I realized it because I saw blood spiraling up towards the overflow. I guess it's good to know a small amount won't immediately trigger a crash.

For the record, my clowns are now flipping out, they can't seem to find the leather three inches over. I had to move the big chalice I'm holding for a friend so the leather wouldn't slime it, but yesterday I saw a skirmish occuring btw it and the frogspawn.

I'm afraid to see what the left side of my tank will look like when the lights come on this morning.

On the bright side, the blue cloves Bible Sue sent seem to be taking hold and making a comeback.
Weetabix7
I'm sorry Anne. sad.gif
Here's hoping things look good when the lights come on.
If for some reason the Blue Cloves don't make it, she could probably send more.
They're spreading all over her LR.

Thanks Weets and Richie! biggrin.gif

Not so bad in the tank. Kinda messy, but I'll have to wait until my hand is somewhat healed before trying again.

Just got back from a little xmas shopping. Bah humbug. Crowds, tourists, and overheated stores.

By the way, for any males in the NY area reading this: It's the holiday season, the trains are crowded enough. Your whoozits just isn't that big to justify taking up three seats by keeping your knees four feet apart. Really, it isn't.
Militant Jurist
Hopefully the wound heals fast! I hate putting anything cut or open in the tank too. scarry01.gif

I saw a lot of that then I was in NYC. I had a load of gear, and yet the Delta Bravo sitting next to me still felt the need to spread 'em. mad.gif
ap123
Glad you know what I'm saying. biggrin.gif

But honestly, you won't find too many native NYers who are tolerant of backpacking tourists either. Remember, odds are there's someone behind you getting smacked in the face by your pack. tongue.gif

Well, that's why I packed so that it would all fit on my lap when stacked together. And given the nature of NYC trains, I wasn't blocking much of a view. wink.gif

On a side note.... da chat is awfully slow....

When I lived in a townhouse, the maintenance crew did a lot... but not when it came to the back porch. One year I had 3 feet on my back patio and I couldn't get to my grill. mad.gif

How'd you manage? huh.gif

My terrace is ten stories up, sheltered by the terrace above me, so just a pretty dusting for me. Of course, I wouldn't be standing outside grilling in the snow anyway...

because it's just wrong! biggrin.gif

Weird Red algae, can anyone ID this? Been around a while, I can and do pull it out, only in sump because the tang eats it when/if it pops up in the display

closer pic of it
Weetabix7
Beautiful family, beautiful RBTA.
I forget the name of that Red Algae, but it's a cool one, wouldn't mind having some in my tank. smile.gif
ap123
Thanks, Weets! biggrin.gif

I thought this was a really cool algae at first, but now I'd be wary of endorsing it. Not impossible to remove, but it grows on every/anything (including the chaeto), and Quickly!
Needreefunds
Fantastic pics Anne!

I echo our friend Lisa's thoughts. That is a beautiful family there and the new addition is very sweet.

The red algae, possibly Rhodymenia pseudopalmata? linky

or Gracilaria curtissae?
linky

I thought perhaps Scinaia companata, but in your pic what you have looks more leafy. happy.gif
linky
ap123
Hi Richie. Thanks. happy.gif

The shape looks most like the gracilaria you posted, but the color is most like the Scinaia. huh.gif

Opinion, please...you know I've been sorely tempted to upgrade since I've been watching your 75. So, someone on MR has a 75RR for sale, including stand and "some" plumbing. No skimmer, sump, light, hood. $350. What do you think? Should I mention it to hubby, or not bother? unsure.gif
