Did you get your frags today?

Yup I put them in an hour ago and they're starting to open up. I got a big freebie colony of pink palys too. I got two instead of one orange envy, a bunch of jokers at least 15 polyps, the purple pink paly colony hasn't fully bloomed yet but it looks kinda like purple fissions, the Candy Apple Reds look good,and the Purple Hornet polyp opened up really quickly and looks great.

No they sent me two OE instead of one. The freebie pink paly colony had two zoanthid eating spiders one it that I pulled off when I dipped them.

Kinda hard to get a decent FTS so I took took pics splitting up the main rock features. Tank is very clutter because of all of the frags and improvised frag racks along with some chaeto just stuffed behind the rocks. Not sure where this whole display tank is heading ideally it will be shrunk down to a nanocube 6 with LED's and the 20 long will go back to frag tank.

No new pics as of now, I will update soon. I'm kinda burnt out from the hobby as of now, and think I need to take a break for a while.

I'm in the same boat actually. I haven't really been looking through RC or N-R for the last month or so. I think it's more an issue with money than anything else. That's not to say I don't stare at my tank for at least a half hour daily-- I do... Just.... Too broke to stay interested I guess!

With that said, as soon as someone hires me I'm going to buy a bunch more zoas and some kind of big LPS

Haha yeah, I just don't have the time I used to have to appreciate my tank and collection. With college coming up soon anyway its inevitable that I'll have to break up the tank. I'll get some pics up soon though the tank looks great and there's been some good growth.

Yeah, I've been in college and I find when the semester starts I just don't have time for it or time to enjoy it. But once it ends I'm back on board!

I find that I'm more interested during the semester than between semesters. Between I'm rarely at the house and instead I'm out getting smashed During the semester I try and use up my free time without getting plastered so I can keep a couple of my brain cells.

Hahaha awesome! I'm not planning on being able to keep a tank in college because I plan on going out of state. Sorry about the pics guys I'll try to have some up tommorow.

LOL I think I'm selling it all in two weeks locally I'm not quitting the hobby because of money, but it would be nice to get some cash back after a year of being broke from this tank.

I posted in a local reef club about it and everybody was jumping on the PH's. They are overrated in my opinion, but the alternating skirt is definetly cool. If anyone wants a pack pm me and I could probably ship one. I might ship because I still have a well packed and insulated box from AquaSD so i would just need to get a 40hr heatpack.

I hate shipping in this weather but what are you selling your stuff for? Getting rid of everything already? You still have like 5 months till college.

Its a bummer to see this tank go Brian, I have been watching since you started it.

Thanks that means alot , it's been a hard decision to take it down and I'm not 100% sure that I want to take it down. Sometime in the near future I'm probably going to setup another tank. Just a little burnt out for now, I'm still gonna be on the site though.

I'll probably be looking for a couple frags after my next check

My plan is to sell the livestock only so I have the equipment and the LR so anytime I want to get back into it eventually, I can set a tank back up again wait one month to cycle a little bit and order a whole bunch of palys. My next tank will hopefully be a Nanocube 6 Hawaiian Paly Biotope. You know the Tidepools in Hawaii? The guy from Aloha Corals got all of his orginal People Eater Stock from there. This would be my college tank. Since I'm planning on getting about 1k from selling all the livestock I'll just put that away for the next tank.

sad to see ya break the tank down. I am starting to get some great growth, my RPE's have over doubled in size. I also coughed up the cash and got a couple of PH polyps, they already have a baby polyp and one that looked damaged on arrival looks to be coming back. I really liked the service I got from aloha and I will be buying from them again soon once I get back from the fire academy. I am also looking forward to your biotope tank cant wait to see it.

Thanks! I really liked the service from AC too well packaged corals. True RPE's are probably my all time favorite coral. Where did you get your PH's? Good to hear doing well. My frag has two baby polyps that are starting to grow up.

I got the PH's off of ebay I won 2 polyps for just shy of 100 dollars when I got them the frag had three polyps but one seemed damaged, it looks like it is bouncing back tho. I also got a bunch of stuff from vivid thats really nice ( darth mauls, ice blues, radioactives, rainbows, AoG, armageddons, etc.), My Peoa's seem to have stopped growing after doubling in size but other than that things are growing well, now if the cycle on the frag tank would just finish.

Nice deal! My PEOA's have been growing at a steady rate, under my MH light they get really white.

yeah all my stuff is under PC lighting right now ( 130 watts over a 24gallon NC) when I switch them to the frag tank they will be under T5 so I should see better growth.

Gonna frag the rabbit holes in a while ?? Apparently MS is like a paly/zoa wasteland...all there are are those silly green dragon eyes as far as the eye can see...

Maybe in the next month or so. There is a bunch of babies I'm waiting for them to fill out. When they are babies they are just a dark blueish color with the mouth, the bigger they get the more speckled/starburst they look.
