I am upgrading from an ada 120p witch is 48x18x18. The new tank will be 48x30x20. I decided to go with acrylic for 2 reasons. One, I live is earthquake country (San Francisco) and two acrylic is much easier to move (I may move in a year to two years). The tank will have a black 1/2" bottom, with 3/4" everywhere else with a 4" euro brace. This tank is going to be STRONG. It will have an external overflow box with 2 1" drains.
Lighting will be 10x54w t5HO via 2 tek fixtures, one 6x54 (I already had) plus a 4x54 fixture. It will be plumbed in with my frag tank 48x30x12 and I will be running a MSX-250 skimmer on both. Sump will be 24x24x16, w/ a separate 18x24x22 fuge.
I just got finished building the stand. Thanks to my friends Bill and Boun. It took over 24hrs to build. lol. I think it was worth it all. Here is what I wanted it to look like.

Here is a couple shots of the stand. In case you guys are wondering the cut out in the door is to flush mount my reefkeeper elite.

The center brace is removable it is just for show. It bears none of the load. The stand is built like a beast out of only plywood. It must weigh at lease 150 pounds. I also know my handles are a bit crooked which is bothering me a bit right now. lol
I am still waiting on the tank, I was told it will be ready tomorrow. Also any opinions on what I should put in the fuge in terms of fauna? Its a 40 gallon fuge so I want something cool in there. I was thinking either cuttles (someone locally breeds them) or seahorses.
