New Jersey Reefers Club is preparing for our second annual Frag Swap & Symposium. For those of you who were there last year it will be more than twice the size! We've got a great speaker lineup from around the country and we're recruiting local stores, On-line retailers, and local area Fraggers as vendors for the swap. We expect to have more than 30 vendors, and are well on our way. We've gotten some excellent donations thus far with far more on their way. The raffles should be great.

To anyone who keeps a frag system, I suggest getting a table (or 1/2 or sharing a table with another reefer)! With a table you'll be able to setup a tank and you'll be marked on the map. Buyers will know where to find you and the cost of the booth is easily covered by the frags you'll sell.

I believe so...I'm not a club member but I was invited to attend and planning to do so!

Shoppers What to Bring:
If you're coming to trade or purchase corals, be sure to bring a cooler, large enough to hold it all (and then some because you just never know). You'll want to keep the temp fairly stable. A limited quantity of NJRC Coolers will also be available the day of the swap (large enough to hold a case of beer or quite a few frags).

If it is cold that day, bring some hand warmers with you (can be bought at any sporting goods store). Wrapped in newspaper, they will help keep your cooler the right temperature.

Some vendors will take paypal or credit, but the large majority will require cash. There are several ATM machines conveniently located to the Crowne in case you come under prepared! (Last year the ATMs did run dry so...)

Staying the Night?
The hotel has rooms that it has blocked for NJRC Swap travelers at the rate of $139 a night. Just mention NJRC when you make your reservations. If you're staying the night at the hotel be sure to bring a small tank (10-20g is usually enough), some water from home, a power head, heater and power strip. A little bag of carbon or a hang on (whisper) filter would be a plus as well. Be sure to bring bags to take your frags home in since not all vendors will have re-sealable bags in use.
