It's taken a bit longer than expected, but we've finally got our next batch of Ricordea polyps up on the site. There are some really special specimens, including true pinks, multi-polyps, and bizarre rainbows. Take some time to peruse them all.
Also, we have the stately Palythoa grandis zoanthids back in stock. These are pretty rare to encounter in the trade, and regularly sell for $20 per polyp or more in stores. If you've never seen or kept one of these before, order a couple along with your ricordea. They are very easy to keep under a wide range of light conditions, and I have seen them grow up to 3" in diameter!!!
The reason we've been behind with updates is that this week is the 11th International Coral Reef Symposium in Fort Lauderdale. This world class symposium is held only once every 4 years at different places around the world (2004 was in Japan, 2000 was in Bali), so we are very lucky to have it taking place right up the road form Miami. I've been blogging about various topics that I think aquarists would find interesting, so be sure to take a look at the blog...
