I'm happy to report that we've got good news for nano reef owners out there. Recently we've been doing our best to come up with new products, improvements on existing products and lower pricing during these tough times when every dollar counts. Take a look at some of our new products and revisions. We've also started to create video installation instructions for our custom products to make life a little easier for customers who want to work on their own DIY project.
Oceanic Biocube Line:
Nanocustoms 4.36 (4x36w) DIY Upgrade for 29g Biocube-
Price has been reduced. We've redesigned this upgrade so that the additional ballast that runs the new 2x36w bulbs is placed inside the canopy instead of in an external remote enclosure box. This has allowed us to eliminate several very expensive components and lower the overall kit price to make costs more manageable. We are currently working on new video installation instructions for this upgrade.
Nanocustoms Biocube Ballast Upgrade for 8g, 14g and 29g Systems-
For those that are tired of their stock Oceanic ballasts constantly failing prematurely or are afraid of not knowing how long their working ballast will last before it fails, we now offer a ballast retrofit for all three systems. This kit includes two Fulham Workhorse ballasts that are installed into an sleek aluminum enclosure box. The customer will cut the power cords and remote disconnect cables away from the stock Oceanic ballasts to be installed for this upgrade. The fans will also now be powered off of a separate power source to allow the fans to be run 24/7 or on a specified schedule if desired. Video instructions are now available for this upgrade.

We have completely revamped this upgrade kit making it perform much better, easier to install and cost less than before. The heatshield has been redesigned and comes with the endcaps and ballasts pre-mounted as a single sub-assembly. This reduces installation time dramatically and makes things much easier for the customer. Everything is retained inside of the canopy and there is no need for external ballast boxes at all. Video instructions are now available for this upgrade.
Nanocustoms 3.36 (3x36w) DIY Upgrade for 24g Aquapod-

JBJ Nanocube Line:
Nanocustoms 2.18 (2x18w) DIY Upgrade for 6g Nanocube DX-
We have completely revamped this upgrade kit making it perform much better, easier to install and cost less than before. The heatshield has been redesigned and comes with the endcaps and ballast pre-mounted as a single sub-assembly. This reduces installation time dramatically and makes things much easier for the customer. Everything is retained inside of the canopy and there is no need for external ballast boxes at all. A new power switch is installed on the top of the canopy between both fan vents to control your light just like before while the stock switch is removed. Video instructions are coming for this new version of the upgrade and should be up within the next couple of days.
Nanocustoms 28g HQI Electronic Ballast Upgrade for the 28g HQI-
It's no secret that the stock ballast that comes with the 28g JBJ system is very large, heavy and last, but not least - magnetic. We've come up with an upgrade that will allow you to hook up a Sunpark 150w electronic ballast to your JBJ 28g, which will improve electricity efficiency, bulb life, bulb color output, etc. You will be able to retain the ability to disconnect the ballast as before or hard wire the ballast into the ballast lead from the canopy.
Nanocustoms Platinum Series JBJ 28g HQI System-
This system includes all the mods we've made for the 28g. The customer receives the JBJ 28g system with upgraded 2x18w actinic PC's, 150w electronic ballast, choice of Ushio 150w bulb (10k, 14k or 20k) and also two Hydor Flo Deflector units.
