Umm not to be a douche, but isn't it incredibly hard the frag sponges and get them to survive. Especially considering these are probably fresh cut, went through the importation process and are now being reshipped?

I looked it up and some people say it is an encrusting tunicate rather than a sponge -- I would love to have it but would want to be sure that it would grow and thrive in my tank. I would hate for it to turn out like dendronepthya, very cool looking but next to impossible to get to thrive in my tank.

You are right it is a tunicate Also know as a Tiger Sponge or Snake Skin.

Alls I know is my lfs cant keep them alive and they keep all kinds of beautiful and difficult coral! Beautiful though!

That's an awesome looking sponge, but I agree that it wont stand a chance of surviving but at least it will make a nice temp. show piece until it dies.

I'm fairly sure he's had these for ages. One would assume that they live fine if he's been selling them for ages.
