Both tanks had nothing but Powerbrite LED's running for the actinic shots, I like taking pics under these LED's as they give the corals a color pop like no T5 or PC can. I will take some non-actinic pics of Dave's tank when he gets his new MH bulb.

I think the point is that Actinic only is never really how we view our tanks normally and leads it further and further away from the "natural" look. I'll vote after I see "normal" lighting shots, but at this point I would lean towards Brian.

Hey, don't exclude the times of the day when actinics come on before anything else! On a more serious note though, I really do agree, actinic only is not a cool way to take pictures unless you are one of the people with a 100% actinic reef.

I understand most people don't like actinic only shots and prefer the "natural" look, which is why our website has no actinic only shots. I would have took non-actinic pictures of Dave's tank had is MH bulb not been so yellow. He just ordered a new 250w Phoenix 14k so I will go back and take some more pics soon.

I look at my tank actinic only for at least 4hrs of the day. Personally I would rather view a tank under a bunch of these 460nm LED's than any other lighting. If you haven't seen what these strips can do to your corals your really missing out.

Hey... I like Actinics and LEDS too. Does this count?

No 50/50's anymore...Full Actinics.

Love your store, my 1st visit I was only able to pick up one small frag. My new tank is almost ready for corals, will be back soon to load up!

These Nano's are from two of our favorite customers and have only WWC corals in them, thats why we made the little battle. wink.gif

Dave got his new 14k Phoenix bulb, but I haven't had time to visit his house and take some pictures with the D80. So he took a couple in the mean time with his point and shoot camera.

Both tanks rock... those last two pictures gave me a little vertigo though.
