Haha, lol, that's the last thing you ever expect someone on a reefing site to say tongue.gif
Congrats on the cycle starting biggrin.gif!

nitrates look like 0 to me? do you read top down or side on? i do it side on but i dunno if thats how its ment to be done haha
Sergeant-G
I think the ammonia looks to be between the two colors. smile.gif congrats on the cycle beginning now it needs to finish so we can see this thing stocked
calvin415
Sorry guys, but all the parameters are measured accurately...

Well here's a poorly stiched panoramic of the sand. biggrin.gif

Scott Riemer
moar rock...IMO
Matty1124
im kind of digging the minimal rocks... but i would do it in two big clumps with a bunch of open space... panoramas are about all you can do to get that length in the shot... it looks great
calvin415
Well, first it was too much, now it's too little, I say SUCK IT! wink.gif This is how it's going to look, sorry.
Kraylen
woooooooooooooooowww yayyyy
flamethis
I've been peeking in a bit o this and WOW! It really took a jump. Lovin it! Makin me think about suger grain sand for my next build..
itzclayyo
Amazing!! Got a plan for a CUC?
calvin415
Keep in mind this is still over 100lbs of DRY rock. This will fill up an entire brute trash can!

Looking at the pic, I don't feel it's really a true feel for the tank, I'll keep working on the shots.

-Eric

CUC will be an assortment of snails. I hate crabs, they care more about their shell than the dang crap they are supposed to be eating; so there will be none of them. biggrin.gif
calvin415
Here's tonights parameters...

pH 8.4
Ammonia 0
Nitrites .375
Nitrates 15

Scott Riemer
Maybe it was the panorama pic that made it look sparse? huh.gif
calvin415
Probably, I just need to take the time, pullout the tripod and get some good pics to start. wink.gif Lights over the tank would certainly help. biggrin.gif

Just do what you want with the tank, you want more rock more rock it is, less rock, less rock it is. even though every in saltwater probably knows about you tank and loves it, its your tank, and i think you should do whatever you want with it. Looks awesome as always, and yes having the lights does make a huge difference.
lakshwadeep
I like the open rockwork a lot. It will be cool to see some branching and plating SPS take up the space.
Nylaspop
i cant wait to see this in person on the 24th i guess that is the perks of living so close to alot of great folks with awesome tanks.
Marteen
Sounds like someone is going to put an order in at reefcleaners for every dwarf cerith they own.

Thanks Boomboy, I guess I just need to focus on getting my pendant done... CUC will likely be in 2 weeks (doing a group buy with our club).

I must say this is a spectacular tank... can't wait to see it in 6 months down the road teaming with life smile.gif
lakshwadeep
If you're looking into getting some tropical CUC members from the Pacific (such as tropical turbos and other snails), you might want to try out this site. They don't have small packs for nano tanks, but they might be perfect for you.

I like the minimal look... I think it'd look incredibly stupid packed with rock... cause it'd just be this big ass long tank fulla rock. imo that'd get incredibly boring by the time you're halfway down the tank. With minimal rock, you get a lot more impact.
calvin415
Thanks everyone! CUC will be coming from here, best prices we've seen...

OreO
i would pay to see your tank in person biggrin.gif
calvin415
Cool, how soon can you get here. wink.gif
OreO
haha

Thanks Glenn! I'm still waiting on my buddy to get his 10 setup... He has the rock, the sand, the tank, canopy etc, but all we have left is the stand. Hopefully we can get it done soon, I bought a 20k bulb for it and it looks sick! Thanks again for the hook up!!!

THANK YOU!

Ammonia 0
Nitrites .50
Nitrates 15

Here's some videos for everyone. biggrin.gif I went a head and threw one of the retro kits on the end, just for grins. Of course it's no where near that blue, but I can't adjust the white balance on video mode. sad.gif

Hope you enjoy them.

reefone
i like the rock layout. now get to cleaning the fill marks biggrin.gif all 24' of it laugh.gif
calvin415
Yeah, I know... sad.gif
Sergeant-G
WOW calvin the tank is lookin SWEET!!!
Marteen
Wow looks very nice I love the aquascape. Looks awesome. I can see all kinds of feather dusters on those overhangs and softies around the bases of the rocks and SPS on top.
Needreefunds
Awesome, sorry but no other word really fits.

Simply awesome.

Thank you so much for such a well documented build.

Boomboy
holy crap was it loud inside of your stand.

i was going to say something earlier when you commented with NO PHOTOS, but you have them now, so i will let you off the hook.

nice light biggrin.gif
FLIPbmw
Lovely rock work! I like the spacing between the rocks and you didn't overdo on the LR. I hope you look at adding some grassy macro algae to the sand. I got to limit myself from checking here too often. I need to be studying! lol

I'll check back by the end of the semester, I hope you'll have it stocked by then!!!

Good luck and hope everything goes well.

It's really not that bad, but I'll try to figure out an accurate way to compare the noise level.

No macro's in the tank, just chaeto in the fuge... All tank room is reserved for stuff that costs moolah. biggrin.gif

Thanks!
