Last swap I had 45 frags....lol to give out and trade....
Thanks really great to hear i don't want to go with my own frags once agian. I have a really cool monti for you that hasn't hit the open coral market yet. It looks like a pink lemonaode acro but its a encrusting monti with a green/yellow base pink polyps and a purple rim. a pic will be posted in a few weeks after it starts to encrust

Randy and I have a few frags to exchange, so MARS sounds like a good place to meet up and also enjoy a frag swap.
This time I don't have much left over to bring to the swap except a few neon-green Montipora spongoides frags. I'm hoping to find a true Superman monti frag and I'm a sucker for nice Acans and Blastos.
Ralph is the name. Will be nice to meet you all and put faces to some of the forum names.

well yesterdayI went to the MARS frag swap I got a few nice pices but allin all i brought better stuff than i took home. But i will post pics of my finds later my post today id about a truly rare find of mine. I know it doesn't look like much not but the coloration and growth pattern of the gem is going to be one of my great finds.
I still need time to color upand encrust but i have ahve ot for a little over a week now and i tried not to post but here it is. acid green base with multi colored poylps from purple, green and pink all with a gittering white tips. Its a encrusting small branching montipora that came as a hitchhiker on a deep blue zoa colony and it been growing for 6 soild months and this is 1/4 of the main colony
between me and the orginator we haven't decide a name to call to see if any other color morphs come about since me and another reefer are growing it out under high k lighting

Tell everyone about your 1st round pick at the swap. It was the one you brought! Classic. Think of it this way, after our trade, you actually picked mine 1st round. Good choice

If the tips on that monti are indeed white, that could become one nice piece. Add me to the list.

Thanks Randy, well i brought some really nice pieces to the mars swap i thought that since i brought nice corals along with other people those pieces would be set aside for other people who also brought higher-end Corals..... I was wrong aparently but high-end stuff went on the same table as the people who brought a big patty of cow $hit (sorry it still stings a bit). So as i seen my very pretty stuff snatched up but people and decide to recuse some of my own stuff I grabbed my nice favia colony with a nice retail price of around 150 bucks before some one found it. So when i brought back to the tabe me and randy made the deal for his Ice Fire/Blue spector arco for the favia colony so all in all i was pretty happy with that deal.
Joker favia/ Grape juice and Lime

Also you have the first dibs on this monti and yes it has white tips.so heres hope this one will turn into a gem

Hey everyone its been a while since my last update. I changed my tank around quite a bit i took out some stuff that wasn't doing so well. I had a bit of a problem with calcium precipitation due to low Mag which drove my ALK levels up so i had a little bit of tip burning on a few of my acros but everything is on the mend and over the last couple weeks i got some new stuff
Ice Fire Echinata ( this is a under branch that need to color up a bit)

Rouge Millepora

Crazy Yuma ( i normally do keep softies but i got this beauty on trade)

RBTA ( I bought for my Picasso clown but it doesn't even go in it what a waste)

Most of the item i get are through trades of either livestock, hardware or in payment for help like in some cases. I have a close ring of guys, gals that i trade with i also give a lot of stuff away to people in need. I only go very few LFS but the ones i do are yourreef, aqualife and exotic but very rarely. the Blue monster is coming straight from my friend Ron who got it from Mingwei at Atlantis Aquarium

I really have to rave about Brightwell Aquatics CoralAmino it has really brought out the color of my corals i really wish i took before and after pics. But all i have to say it buy it i have tried other this by far is the best
http://www.marinedepot.com/Brightwell_Aqua...IADTECS-vi.htmldescription
Brightwell Aquatics CoralAmino is a complex that closely approximates ratios of amino acids present in many species of stony corals; the formulation is based upon extensive research conducted on tropical coral reefs by oceanographic researchers. While the ratios of amino acids present in coral tissue vary between species, general ratios are approximately maintained, enabling an effective average to be created that will benefit not only stony corals, but also soft corals, solitary, and colonial polyps (e.g. Xenia, Anthelia, Zoanthus, Discoma, Actinodiscus, etc.). The amino acids are present in their most elementary form (”free-form”) rather than being accounted for by their presence in a food or complex nutrient; in this fashion, they are readily available to corals and their allies. The main benefit of this quality is the ease in which corals can assimilate the amino acids into their tissue for the purpose of growth and tissue repair. Secondary benefits of some amino acids are their role in enhancing the coloration of corals.
Corals maintained under optimal chemical and environmental conditions are able to reproduce (both sexually and asexually) more rapidly when the required nutrients are available. The presence of these free-form amino acids is particularly important to corals that have undergone, or will undergo, fragmenting or other means of propagation in which some amount of tissue is damaged.

yeah i hate zoa pox i found if you run a uv sterilizer in your top off water you will be less likey to get pox again. Use a large one because the large amount of UV light will make O3 ( ozone) with will help keep your water clean and really help you skimmer proformance if you have one. Hey don't ditch stuff because you have a set back just live and learn
