If you run out of room in there (and it looks like soon), I got plenty of space in my frag bin - and I don't charge rent wink.gif

You might be right my eyes are bigger than my tank can hold huh. Hey if you want to start a business with your frag bin count me in. I really need to get a frag tub up and going agian but i just dont have the time. At least with this tank its fully automated. I really dont have any plans to upgrade to a bigger tank. this tank fits well into out family room and if i was going to get a bigger i would go for the CAD 39 since it would be around the same size. I love this CAD its a shame that not a whole lot of people have them.
scottyreef
Well I know everyone is mad for me getting such great corals and......... this is't going to help

I got 5 corals today but i am only going to post one

this coral is very simlar to both Tyree Seasons greetings and Chili Pepper Monti. I haven't seen this before so i had to snag it

Purple Chili Pepper Montipora

the others where just freshly frag'd and there still a little Pissed off
scottyreef
A couple more

Kosmo Kramer Acropora( not my name) this is a very nice coral and i will have to take a better pic later its a bright green with yellow metallic streaks and dark metalic green polyps

bad pic i wll replace with new tommarrow after my lights come on

Tyree Rainbow Montipora

I also got a
SandDollar Echinopora ( i forgot i bought it so no pic)
Flashlight acropora ( very small frag still stressed)
Un-named purple with green polyps acro ( i had to frag it off a huge frag plug and it broke into 4 frags so its still really pissed)

I'd be interested. Just for fun, more so than "business." I can even plumb another 14G bin with ease.

Thank you very much and theres no need to bow down to me i just have great coral suppliers that i should thank.

Here is a piece out of my friends johns tank this super bright green with a sort of metallic look and it is name Radioactive Incredible Hulk this thing glows under moon lights at night

I still need to get a good picture of my new tabling acro but it's a little pissed off right now
gulfsurfer101
Nice tri-color. I think it's shame that my tank lookd like it has finally stablized to hold more demanding sps and it's time for yet another move for me. Your tank is one of the most inspirational on this site, keep us posted and keep supplying the sweet pics.
JamesReef
Not to side track your fantastic coral acquisitions, but my local Ikea finally got the Freden sink cabinet in! I already started a DIY stand but I couldn't resist.

I'm thinking about just using 3/4" birch plywood on the top, water sealed and stained or painted, nothing else. You think that will suffice? Or should I go with tiles or a glass panel over the plywood as well....
scottyreef
Hey I Know the feeling laster year when i had to break my tank down i was a little heart broken but now i like my set-up much better than before. I think everytime i have a set back i learn something like what corals NOT to get or what Not to dose. I Know after you get your tank back up againn it will lokk better and the sting of you broken down tank will leave pretty quick. I dont know if my tank is inspirational I don't mean it to but thank you very much. This tank for me isn't to have the best coral or TOTM it is more therapeutic for to have some thing that i can take a little pride in. I am really trying to pay it forward to people who need my help lately to all ofnthose who have help me out for the last decade

No problem i didnt see your question. well it should be fine for a while but i would put either glass or tile or epoxy resin or even just vinyl sheeting or tile. your stand is going to see a lot of water and salt creep no matter what you do it best is you put a barrier between the tank and the vuranable wood stand. In for a penny in for a pound, might aswell do it right the first rather than tearing it down later down the road and cursing your self for not right. This is only one persons opinion so take any advice with a grain of salt so dow whats best fro your situation
PurpleUP
SCOTTY, Thanks for the tip on the chiller! Hopefully it is still available.

Your frags are all looking quite promising in my tank, even the acro "centerpiece." All of a sudden this morning, its polyps decided to sprout way out. NO STN. The other SPS are starting to show some good color too. That green people eater lookin paly you gave me is about as large as a nickel. Lunar eclipses look like they're dwindling though. BTW: The dual light cycle on my frag bin has made it much easier to light acclimate the corals. There's plenty of room for more down there. Let me know if you want me to keep a frag of that RAINBOW ACRO (for backup). That one is PRICELESS!!!!!
scottyreef
My recoved infro from crash last night I could only get one page worth

I wouldn't go for the aquaticlife i have heard some pretty neutral reviews on its preformance and its small collection cup size and small reaction chamber. you should check into a tunze 9002, or a aqua c ramora either normal size or nano. I know thay are more money but they will be more useful in the long run if you want sps.

I sooo miss this Mystery coral that i had to sell off when i moved my tank almost a year ago. this guy started out brown and ugly and became this amazing coral. i wonder what happened to it. I know i sold off and it didn't do so great during shipping but it was living. so to the person i sold it i would love a frag back for either cash or trade. please please flower.gif

Beautiful as always Scott. That Tiger Stripe chalice under 20k....just wow....

By the way, I almost have my stand complete, letting granite sealer cure then I just need to attach it to the plywood top and edge it. I am glad I went with a 2x3 top like you did as it can now accomodate tanks up to 36" (40 breeders, etc) if I decide to upgrade later...heck I already ditched the BC 29 in favor of a 20 long, which will fit easily on this stand with room to spare.

If the stand turns out half as good as yours it will be great.
scottyreef
My newest LE Blue Rip Tide Valida its from the collection of john dakan. I will selling frags of this in the comming weeks to pay for some chalices i have my eye on.

scottyreef

I also have frags of a few more corals that i need to put up for sale to pay for these super cool chalices. You can check my tank out at any time just give me some notice. Tommarrow or friday i will be posting a couple more mini colonies i have cut up
SLOreefer
sounds good, I am leaving tomorrow am for a family event for the weekend so I will check back with you sunday or monday when I get back. Hopefully you will have a few pieces left. Not sure how much I can spend, but like i said before my birthday is enext week so I can get myself a little somethin.
scottyreef
Well not a whole lot of updates I am saving up for a new light fixture and a few thing for my aquacontroller a couple probes another dc8 and dimmable leds. I will get two new pieces this week end but nothing really rare but nice none the less.

I have my eyes out for new and rare pieces but for some reason all the people who i get my frags from are having a lot off issues with there tanks my buddies tank had a major disater with a faulty chiller. the other had his huge capet nem die on him and its really havoc on his water quality.

Sometime this week i am going to be doing some coral fragging to help pay for my new aquires. I am thinking that i might add another fish i am not sure what yet but i want something small so that it won't take away from the coral in the tank.

cheers and happy thoughts to everyone

So what are you doing with your present lighting? Need something for my next add-on tank.
PurpleG
hey

I'm thinking about getting this tank... you mentioned that the width of the tank is only 9"??? that's quite shallow for a 22g. Isn't that difficult to aquascape? Also the specs on cadlight.com says it's approximately 14" wide... there's 5" for the back??

no no reallt its not wide but it is long and the fuge is pretty big. it is 14" wide 5" of that being a fuge. its easy to light and gives you loads of diplay space and all the skimmers and what not are out of sight
