Jun 1 2009, 01:20 PM
those are very pretty fish i had one a few years back in a old 180 fowler that i keep for a local doctor and the fish was fine for about 6 months but then it started picking at one of the maxima clams mantles. Eventhough i dont indened on getting clam i dont want to risk it. And PS they dont call the hogfish for nothing that last one was a pig with food LOL
What do you guys think of a African Golden Midas Blenny ( which is better colored than a normal Midas Blenny) do they tend to carpet surf like othe blennies i have seen?

Neat! Black zoas... So.... are you thinking single fish or a couple fish? I say dottyback! Good pest control, very active, and very personable!

well my coral trade didnt go as planned. i got to the guys house and first off the frag size was a joke (think the size of a baby's fingernail) second the prices were waaaay to high. I came out of there with one frag of Sunset and as you can see from the pics there is more supergule than coral. I also got a coral back from my brother that i sold to him years ago. I doent have a name but this this is a monumental slow grower its only about 2X2 and its four years old ( it started out about 3/4") the last is from John from yourreef its a huge piece for the price of Karl's Candlelight Acro
large glob of super glue small piece of sunset monti

Well I have been vodka dosing again and I am seeing great results again the water clearer the skimate is dark. I think i am going to add a 25mg/hr ozonator to help the skimate even more it will only run maybe once a week but with my past uses of ozonators i know they work great

Don't worry, I ask my LFS to order Trimmas", and they always come up with Eviotas. So, I don't mind and just let them keep trying since they rarely get them.

this coral is from John Dakan private collection that actually pre-dates Mark Poletti colony that john thinks that he got from him years ago and i believe it both Mark and John (yourreef) are from the same area (sacramento) and john dosent really care that mark took credit for it since he has loads more of this coral that both mark and fragfarmers combined.
So to those who really want it and dont want to pay thought the nose go to yourreef in person (roseville Ca) and buy corals and you might end up like me friend with john and you might be able to get on the leading edge of rare coral collecting

My LFS has a great small to medium Rainbow Maxima Clam but i am really not sure how well it will do in my tank and what it will look like. I am not sure what i should do
