I don't make my own coffee at work - I have some of the best coffee in the world at my fingertips so I just buy a cup every morning. At home I use a french press, and I'll put money against the fact that the coffee I make makes any Kurig cup taste like Maxwell House.

MJ sounds like he wants to go on the cheap - so I gave the cheapest option.

You are like the coffee pimp

Hey skillzy I think I found someone you could beat you in number of tanks. Go read SeaHorsedreams threads, I think she said at one point they had 12 tanks set up. ohmy.gif

Coffee smoffee I'll take a nice glass of water any ol' day of the week over coffee. lol

Ooo weetie I got an idea for themed av's that would include the Hoff. We could pick an av representing one of our favorite actors that portrays them in an atractive way.

and if it were me i would buy the water boiler and use a french press like i already recommended. Mr. Coffee is the cheapest and fastest way I know of to make drinkable coffee. instant and dip packets are a joke.

Wow. I had 7 (I think, maybe 8) displays + a couple holding/QT tanks running once. That was entirely too many aquariums. I'm pretty comfortable with the 5 I've got going now that all the holding tanks are empty.

I'd like to cut down to 3 at my house and move the 37 to my parents. That would mean I'd either have to get rid of some saltwater livestock (compatibility issues force the 3 tanks min.) or get rid of my cichlids. Decisions, decisions.

It's also maintenance free and something to look at. Ya know my maintenance on the 37? Feedings and the occasional top off. The catfishies and pleco keep the bottom and glass clean. It's overstocked, underfiltered, sits next to a window, and is still nothing to take care of. I love it.

Main thing though is it matches the dining room. biggrin.gif

The cichlids are just fun to watch. It's like having a tank full of non-reef safe wrasses. They flash and chase each other all the time.

Mr coffee is junk IMO, they never get hot enough to properly brew and again, you are always wasting coffee that gets stale by the minute.

Well, the original vet mentioned an inexpensive single cup machine, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Mr. Coffee. I'll have to see if I can find out what it was.

@ spanko.......... I have the B60, Im pretty happy with it. Im not happy that I had to go through Keurig customer and get a replacement brewer after 3 months of use. It seems that alot of people that bought them at Christmas time had issues with the pump. My parents have the B70, this gives u more cup sizes.

Overall I like the machine. I like the fact that I can brew a cup of the coffee I want and the wife can brew her flavored crap. My daughter likes the hot coco.

I would watch and see who has it on sale. I got mine on sale at bed, bath, and beyond and used two 20% coupons. One for the brewer and one for the carousel to hold K-cups. When you register your brewer and buy two boxes of k-cups, you get two more boxes free along with free shipping and 10% off.

I do think our tastes change as we age but seriously I have never understood, or even experienced "acquiring" a taste for something. If its good its good. How many times must you suffer through before you come to realize you were right in the first place- you just don't like it. Quality of life? You could have had something you really enjoyed all those times you were trying to acquire a taste for Haggis, mountain oysters or your old tennis shoes.

You chow down on that buddy.... I'll be over there with a pizza, my Sam Adams and I'll make myself a cup of great coffee when I get home wink.gif
