Sure is worth a try and easy enough to swap out ( if you have a 1200 handy that is ).

Yeah, I've lost 60lbs since my heaviest 4 years ago! 40lbs was just in the past year through diet change, and lots of biking since January. I try to only eat all natural and less processed foods. No preservatives, artificial color/flavors, no high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

I used to eat like that, but I've slipped lately.
I need to figure out a way to get back into good eating habits.
The problem is, I'm trying to juggle too much stuff so it's hard to keep up with it.
On the skimmer, it's been my understanding that you can use either a MJ900 OR a MJ1200 with it. I do have a MJ1200, but it's the PH I'm using to pump the water from the sump built into the back of my tank back into the display. If I switch the two pumps out, it would really cut down on flow in my main display. I'll see if I can come up with a solution.
Richie, I don't think you messed up with your comments in the Contest Thread, don't beat yourself over the head. That's MY job!!!

I used to eat like that, too! I weighed 98 no matter what I ate. After the divorce I couldn't afford meat with 2 kids. Hubby #2 is 17 years older than me (still a kid when he's not in engineer mode) was a veggie so we went that route. I was 106 after child #5 & 108 at Weetie's wedding. When I went to work 9 years ago, my diet suffered & I picked up more weight than I wanted. It comes to all who weight!

Ok so we just heard from the realtor reasons for taking so long:
a) person that looks at the contracts was on vacation. Why didn't they tell us this last week when we put our offer in?

they wanted a list of repairs that FHA would require to be made before they would finance the house. This is a good it will alert us to things that could cause us to not want the property as long as we get to see the list.
So hopefully since she is back and the list has been completed we should know today
Weetabix7
Sep 9 2008, 10:05 AM
You'll definitely get to see the list of repairs FHA requires to be made.
I went through that with our first house.
The FHA can be kinda picky on that, but that's actually a good thing for you. If for some reason FHA won't finance it and you really, really want it, you can also look into getting it through State subsidized programs for first time homebuyers, which is what we did with the house we're in now. Interest rates for those programs tend to be pretty good as well.
Did they tell you that they would definitely give you an answer today?
Keep us updated!!!
In aquarium news, I have the Nano Remora, not the regular Remora, but I went ahead and switched out the PH's so I now have a MJ1200 on the skimmer and a MJ900 for the return pump to the tank.
When I took the MJ1200 out to switch them, I discovered that there were 3 small snails that had gotten caught in the intake to the pump and died, so this is the probably cause for why a couple of my corals haven't been very happy in recent days.
I cleaned the MJ1200 out well and and put strainers on the intakes to both PH's to prevent this problem from re-occuring.
I will do a WC later tonight.
I'm developing a definite GHA issue in the front corner of this tank as well as some pest macroalgae that has recently sprung up. I'm hoping to get a Lettuce Nudi to deal with the Hair Algae and I'm thinking of putting an Emerald Crab in the rear sump and putting pieces that have Bubble Algae problems in there for him to clean.
I'm thinking of holding off on the 30g upgrade til I get everything straightened out in this tank.
For today's fun topic, I think we should go with kmitch's suggestion from last night and answer the following question:
WHAT FUN FACT DO MOST PEOPLE NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU?

We're HOPING to know today, but theres no guarantee apparently. They got an estimate from the contractor yesterday on repairs FHA would require, so it looks like they're seriously considering the offer. I dont anticipate any dealbreakers from FHA, but I have heard from a LOT of people that they're pretty mean about inspections. Good for us, as long as they don't scare the bank off too much.

In all seriousness, I kinda think we should maybe just do the contest here, between us.
For prizes, each contestant should contribute either $25 or a prize (coral frag, etc.) with a value of $25+.
I have some stuff I've won at Frag Swaps but not used yet (gift certificates, etc.) that I could put up as prizes.
We could go by the rules as spelled out by kmitch this morning.
Hey Richie, I want some pierogies!!!
Not sure which of these are fun or just plain trivia, but here ya go:
-I was born on the Mexican/Arizona border and have a half Mexican grandmother (you'd never guess it to look at me!)
-I had a brief stint as a clown. (Big surprise, right???)
-My hearing is about on the level of old Aunt Ethel who says "Eh, what?" at everything anyone says at Thanksgiving Dinner
-My mom says I liked to eat toilet paper as a baby
-I'm a closet Trekkie
I guess that's it for now.

I'm double jointed...everywhere - fingers, toes, spine - i can pop them all out and back in. It's inherited...my great grandmother could stand on a step, knees locked, bend over and not only touch her toes, but she could put her palm flat on the step below her. I'm not that good yet...

Yeah, I miss Diane too.
She would be awesome in WL right now, and probably with the contest too.
Last time I talked to her, she just basically had a lot going on In Real Life.
I sent her a PM when we resurrected Weetie's Lounge a couple of days ago, but I don't think she's even been on.
It's funny, but trying to iron out the whole contest thing inspired me a bit, and I actually threw a bunch of LR and sand in the bottom of a 5.5g today to start cycling.
The thing is, with the contest rules the way we were talking about them, I don't think I'd be able to participate. I have too many frags on hand that I need to find a place for and not enough room for them, but we're not supposed to use coralz we have on hand.
After we hammered out all those rules I do NOT want to mess them up them up, but what are you guys' thoughts on that?
