I tried to upload the pics just a little bit ago, but couldn't find them on my camera.
I'm hoping I just overlooked them and hubby didn't delete them since he's been using the camera recently.
Either way, I'll try to get some current pics later today since the appearance has already changed quite a bit.
Added 7 different types of Mushrooms in last night.
I think they're still adjusting a bit, but they seem okay I think.
The flow in this little tank def seems stronger than what they had before, so they may be adjusting to that a bit.
The only light the tank has right now is sunshine, but it's a pretty sunny day today.

I actually added a little JBJ Picotope light over it, 18w PC I believe, and it looks pretty good under that.
I will try to get some pics up under that light later.
Added a bunch of new stuff in last night as well.
Heading off to the good LFS with BibleSue shortly.

If thats the stock JBJ Picotope light, its a 50/50 9watt light. Tank looks very nice looking forward to how it progresses!

I looked at the fixture, and it actually is 18w.
Everyone speaks of these fixtures as being inadequate, but it actually seems to work really well over this tank.
It will be interesting to see the difference when I get the LED fixture over it, but for now this little 18w PC works great.



Nope, not yet.
I need to get a carload of Distilled water before I can do that.
(RO/DI filter needs cartridges replaced and I can't afford it just yet.)

In response to all of the compliments and comments from everyone else, Thank You, I really appreciate it.
After having so many things go wrong for me lately, aquatically speaking, it's incredibly nice to see something go right.
I suspect this tank will change quite a bit as I continue to work on it.
There's a decent bit of rubble in it right now, and I doubt I'll keep more than half of it.
I just wasn't sure which of the smaller pieces would end up being incorporated into the aquascape and it was easier to just go ahead and cycle all of it.
Oddly enough, I don't seem to have had a cycle with this tank.

It's been up for at least 2 weeks now, and I've had no measurable Ammonia, Nitrite or Nitrate.
All inhabitants look quite content, which I consider to be the best barometer.
I am still keeping a very close eye on it in this regard though.
I haven't seen any microalgae show up yet, when I do I'll move some snails over from my ghetto 2x10g setup.

So how do ya like the new thread title?
