Me too, BIG time!!!

Glad to hear you've got a good working plan, Weetie. smile.gif

Re: sps - if you decide to get rid of them, send my montis off to Don or Scott or someone that'll give them a good home. Our current tank isn't set up for SPS (and I simply don't have the patience for it right now).

Thanks for understanding and for the hug Buddy, I needed it. flower.gif

In other news, I just got a tracking# from ReefGeek for my replacement bulbs and reflectors!!! omgomgomg.gif
I can't believe Greg moved so quickly on this, especially considering that I also learned today that they are at MAX in Ca. right now.
Very impressive.

Awww, thanks for the support Bud, but it looks like ReefGeek is really trying hard to help me out here.
I mean he sent me a tracking# tonight for the bulb and reflector replacements even while being at MAX, and I really can't ask for any more than that.

errr, I can't take credit. They're just taking care of you. Now if they had jerked you around, I would have been there for you.

Steve?
Did I miss something??
How's the new frags lookin'?
Mr. Fosi
Sorry, wrong thread. blush.gif Too many tabs open.

Frags looked good this morning in the indirect sunlight. Gorgs and zoas all open with the exception of some of the Tubbs. They are so small and they are acting snitty about where they have been placed.

I think the sunset is putting some tissue back on. happy.gif I use the moonlights to check it b/c the flesh fluoresces and the skeleton does not so the line of delineation is much sharper.

Also, Alk this morning was 9.3 dKH and Ca was back up to 330 ppm. I dropped in 6 ml of Alk and 10 mL of Ca. I really want my Alk up around 10 and my Ca above 400 ppm. I'll keep going until I get there.

Pics tonight if I get time.

Was digging through Photobucket looking for pics, ran across this old pic of Ashley's Angelfood Palys, and thought you guys might like to see it.

I only have 2 polyps left of it, I hope they grow soon!

I even had my helper! laugh.gif But I did most of it.

Awesome!!!
My only concern is that those 90 degree elbows on the return will diminish the flow too much considering you're just using a MJ1200.
If you find that the flow is to low, try switching out the 90 deg. elbows for 45 degree elbows.

From my research, it does not seem to diminish the flow. Hubby says it won't as well. We will see. There is no changing elbows. That PVC cement sticks FAST!
Mr. Fosi
The elbows will certainly cut the flow because they will increase the head pressure. That's ok though, you'll probably have enough for a passable sump flow.

What will the main display flow be driven by?

Told ya so. Looks good. You could prob go up to a Mag 5 with that setup.
BibleSue
I have a Vortech 40 as well as loc line with a flare for the return for flow in the upper tank. I also have other pumps I can use if I need them.

If the MJ1200 doesn't work, I'll look at the Mag 5. Thanks for the plumbing help Scott! No more blowing air out of U-tubes!
Mr. Fosi
I like my MJ1200 sump return. I don't get much more than 100 gph out of it I'm sure but it is more than enough for my purposes.
DHaut
My Mag 5 probably should have been an MJ1200...I just bought the Mag 5 anyways. Then I tried a QO3000...that was a bad idea.
dtfleming
I have a whole colony of those palyps weetie.

That is good to know! I am open to ideas & suggestions as I set this thing up.

Do you see anything wrong with overflow in the left compartment, skimmer in the middle & return on the right?

BibleSue
This is what I am going to start out with in the tank. I will not fill it up enough to reach the overflow in the beginning. I will just use the 2 pumps in this tank till I see if I have a mini cycle. That way I can start it without waiting for the silicone to set completely.

dtfleming
No, but if you decide to change out the return pump, not alot is gonna fit in there

How big is the Mag 5? That right compartment is just under 6"
dtfleming
Oh, looks smaller. I would guess its about 5" wide.

Ok, since its WL...

Crystal ( our daughter ) will be having surgery early in the morning.

Without getting into specifics, lets call it a female surgical procedure to relieve some pain and discomfort.

Doctor is awesome. He brought her into this world. He has also operated on her once before. Same doctor has operated on my wife several times.

Although considered "minor", we all know surgery is surgery and I can't help but worry.

sad.gif

Sorry for the downer peeps- but after a few Sam Adams Hefeweizen I get chatty sleep.gif

It'll go well, you have nothing to worry about. cool.gif

my prayers will be with your daughter as well. I know everything will be fine.
BibleSue
You've got my prayers as well. Please let us know how she does. I will be at church for Spring Clean up till afternoon so I will pray as I work & check when I get home.

Prayer is amazing. One night I woke up in the middle of the night & had the feeling someone was watching me even though they couldn't see through the curtains. It wouldn't go away & I prayed a long time before I went to sleep. The next day I went out back to dump out mop water & saw the elderly neighbor lady. She told me someone was at her door shaking the knob for a long time. She was too afraid to go to the phone to call the police cuz they would be able to see her where her phone was. The time was not long after I woke up & started praying. That weekend when I was relating the story to my husband ( We weren't even dating yet at that time.) He stopped me and asked me what time i woke up. He said that is the exact time he woke up & had a very strong urge to pray for me so he did. I was in AL & he was in S FL. I firmly believe they were at my house first & moved on to my poor neighbor who was also safe in the end.

I know you aren't sure, Richie, but I know that I know that I know without a shadow of doubt & you & Crystal are in my prayers as I go to sleep & tomorrow. Here's another hug! grouphug.gif
