Inorite????
But I had them feed him at the store and believe me when I tell you this lil guy is eating just fine!
They've been feeding him frozen mysis and brine, and I have frozen mysis on hand already.
They were calling him a Tangaroa Goby, don't know if that's a common name.
He looks very much like a little Shrimp Goby.
I don't plan on putting a shrimp with him though.
Typical Goby shape, white with little Orange "Dashes" all over his body, and has a high spiky fin like a Yasha Goby.
He's cool!
They had a really good fish selection today and the prices were great.
It's a wonderful thing when a place that captive breeds SW fish buys your LFS. happy.gif
They had some absolutely GORGEOUS Black Clowns and I would have gotten a pair in a heartbeat, but I need to trade in the Ocellaris that currently in the tank first or he'll prolly beat them up.
I told hubby and he was like, "so why can't you just move the Orange Clown to the smaller tank for now?".
Facepalm.
Boy did I feel stupid.
If I had thought of that I would have come home with a pair of Black Clowns instead. They even had a Misbar or two that looked really nice.
I also got some kinda Minty looking Favid frag.
I'll try to post pics later.

Here's what the new guy looks like:

Some cool fishies there.
The Clown actually looks very similar to the Black Clowns I wanted to buy at the LFS, although I hadn't thought the LFS ones were Saddleback's.

I dunno, but they're VERY nice, and captive bred.
The black on them looks almost velvety.
Same orange on just the face as in the Saddleback pic dtfleming posted the link to.
LFS is selling them for $25 each.
Man, I really want to get some now.
But I'm sposta go to Sue's house for most of the next week, I wouldn't be able to watch them and make sure they were eating.
At least on the Goby, I already know he's eating.
He's not as cool as those Clowns though.
They even had one that was a Misbar that I could get as the smaller of the pair.

Hey Cliffy!
I don't want burrows dug all over my aquarium, so I prolly won't get a Pistol.
You remember that table that was selling those Clowns at the Nashville Frag Swap?
That was Sustainable Aquatics, they just bought the LFS I got this fish from.
clifford513
Lucky you! Burrows aren't so bad, ime. I really like goby/shrimp combos. If they happen to get any A. randalli in, lmk. I have been to Chattanooga several times but no cigar sad.gif

Send me a linky to exactly what they look like and LMK what your budget is on them so I know what to look out for.
The other LFS in the area tends to get Pistols in regularly, I'm just not sure what kind.

In other news, since the boys and I are planning on spending a few days at Susan's house in Crossville this next week, mebbe we could get together at some point.
LMK if ur interested.
clifford513
Anywhere between $30-$50. Here's a pic.

Probably not Onyx then, especially if they're $25.

I just hope he doesn't bug me too much with his reconstruction.
I don't have sand in there now, but I will as soon as I get this stupid upgrade off the ground-- if it ever happens!!!!

Are those the ones they call Tiger Pistol's?
I think I've seen them there before, and in the price range you mentioned as well.
SPerry
I'm bored so here are pics of 2 of my tanks.

20H I redid some rock work so the left side is a lil bare for now.

clifford513
Amber's is a tiger pistol. The one I posted is commonly called candy cane pistol or candy striped pistol. Easy to distinguish by the white and red body with yellow appendages.
Lalani
Great pics, SPerry, the tanks look great. smile.gif

In other news........ I can't work up the nerve to start transferring stuff from the 20H to the 40br...... scarry01.gif unsure.gif omgomgomg.gif

She can graze in my prop tank. That will bring a smile!

On another note, hubby's friend just called to see if he got home OK. (He did but failed to mention the following.) Seems he has a small TIA while they were out. He wouldn't let the guy bring him home so I could go with them to pick up our van from the shop & drive it home. Grrrrrrr!

Mini stroke. He had trouble making his mouth say what his brain was thinking. He said it lasted about 5 min. That clot busting herb he is taking worked quickly again.

Lalani
Oh wow, hope there aren't any lasting side-effects.
Weetabix7
It's not a new thing, he's been living with this kind of thing happening every few months.
Still can be scary though, prolly more for Sue than for him.
BibleSue
Thanks for your concern. He seems to be OK. There have been no visible effects from them. He has had a heart flutter since his valve replacement 7 years ago. After his eye stroke 3 years ago, he found this natural clot buster so he doesn't have to be on blood thinners. They seem to dissolve the clots so fast he can't even get to the hospital before it is over. When they put him on blood thinners for some procedure, he got a clot. Go figure. I'm glad I know God numbered his days when He put him together. I am also thankful that this was not the last day! biggrin.gif I must admit I get a little concerned when he is at a 20 degree angle on the tractor. That is not a time to get confused even for 5 min. ohmy.gif
Weetabix7
Hey Peeps, how's things?

Today I am a Frag Queen.
Yes, that's right, Ima slicing and dicing on Mama Sue's coralz.
So far I've cranked out 21 Zoa frags and 5 Acan frags.
Wonder how many more frags I can make before I have to go back home tomorrow.
Be watching for some fragalicious specials from the Reef Chicks Coral Kitchen in a couple of weeks.

And I know I'm a lil late to say this, but SPerry, those tanks look great in the pics you posted.
How many tanks do you have now?

PDQ.
Does Susan have a list of what you want?
I am going back home from Sue's house to mine tomorrow, mebbe I can take the stuff you're getting from her back to my place and ship it out next week along with the Gorg frag.
