Sorry about your tank! I promise I didn't taint your water while I was there. It seems like my display tank took a couple of days to cheer up after the last WC. Maybe it is something in the air?

I didn't dress up this year to scare the kiddies, but instead took a bunch of pics!

The kids in our family rather staying at Ma-ma's house and scaring the trick-or-treaters more than actually going out trick-or-treating! We have our own little troop.

A was a Chili Pepper for his first Halloween, and I think it may even have been the same costume. He wore the hat around Christmas to look like an elf.
Those trees look like a blast to climb in, my two lil guys would have been all over them.

That's my grandsons! They are looking so old & I just saw them! Where has all that baby fat gone!

Tristan sure looks like one of the family. He is sooo cute! I'm going to have to come over soon & hold him!

Daniel, those are amazing shots! We have 10 acres 7 miles outside the city & I haven't even seen 1 deer! I only rarely see hoof prints around the pond. That's awesome!

Thanks Sue We found a really nice place here - back yard is next to a wooded park with a tributary to the Anacostia (the clean portion) running through the middle of it. We see them all the time coming from the stream (about 100 feet from our yard). They get much closer at night - there's "evidence" of them less than 10 feet from our back door.




Richie was askin me for fall colors earlier too, so here's a couple from Manassas Battlefield:

always wanted to stop and take pics, but never had the camera.

nice deer shots, I spent the summer at my grandparents house 2 yrs ago and ever morinin there was deer in their yard. They have 16 acres and almost all of it is thick woods with a cornfeild behind their property. the live in a little town in Ilinios called danville. The had to have a freind come bow hunt this year tho since the deer were eating all their plants and my grandma tried everything to get them to stop. There's big ol' buck on there property too, i never saw him but ever year the seem him last time my grandma saw him he was like a 15 point buck. people hit deer all the time there too, i was with my grandpa and lilredneckman and a big buck comes running out a cornfield stops infront of the car and just sits there. luckily i yelled deer!!! or he'd have flown threw the windshield. i'll see if i can dig up any deer pics from up there, i think all of them are crappy ones i took on my phone thhat i deleted.

thanks I've actually been up in that area before (grew up in western Kentucky, so not so terribly far off). I've had my share of running over deer...my favorite car of all the cars I've had (which is a ridiculously high number...6 in 8 years of driving) was totaled in Lexington when I hit a deer on the highway.

Every year or two since my Dad started churches & then with my ex in the military. After the divorce I loved in AL till I moved to FL & re-married. Stayed there 26 years! I hope this move was my last!

Random.. I guess that would sum it up for me. But isn't that what the lounge is for?
I take it you don't like it much in its present form.

Nothing much has caught my interest enough to even open the thread.
