I missed it!!

Are there leftovers?????????????????????????
I think Finn found a few squished bits left in the cracks of some of the Chairs.
J/K, of COURSE we saved you some!
Ok everyone, I have some news.
You need to sit down though, I don't want anyone to faint or anything.
Yes, that's right, it's time for an honest to goodness AQUARIUM UPDATE!
For those of you who have lost track, this thread was originally about my 16g acrylic aquarium.
It started out looking really nice, with a lot of frags from various NR members.
Then it went through several months of not doing so well for a variety of reasons.
The first is that I had to move a lot of stuff into it after my 2 yo crashed my prop tank when he dosed it with eardrops.
Then I added a Yellow Coris Wrasse in to eat my pods after they decided some expensive palys looked good to eat. It was an awesome fish and he did a great job eating the pods, but what I didn't take into consideration is what awesome little scavengers pods are. Once the pods were gone I started seeing some film algae growth all over the tank.
Then the tank started getting taken over with nuisance macroalgae growth including GHA and caulerpa, as well as some other "interesting" plants. I didn't realize it at the time, but I'm fairly certain now that the fact I was using an older MH bulb contributed to the algae growth quite a bit.
Well, I think this tank may finally be rounding the corner and getting a little better.
A couple of weeks ago I put a new 150w Phoenix 14k bulb in, and I'm seeing some improvement in algae growth, including what appears to be some dieback of GHA.
I'm also seeing some frags that had faded regaining their colors.
I also think the fact that I've switched salts has helped.
A month to a month and a half ago I switched from Oceanic to D-D H2O salt, and I've been seeing happier corals ever since. I have to say, I'm becoming a real fan of the D-D H2O, and I plan on trying to get a bigger bucket when I get more, which will be soon.
The Oceanic wasn't bad, but my corals definitely like the D-D better, and after a year of bad salt experiences, I'm very happy.

I don't have a FTS just yet (I know, I know...), but I do have a couple pics to share.
This first one is of a Rainbow Yuma that I really love. BibleSue got it for me for a birthday present over the summer at the Knoxville Frag Swap. It's been really healthy and had great color then entire time I've had it.

This next pic is of a really new arrival to this tank. This is a frag of Blue Palys that I just got from Reef Goddess in a trade. They actually weren't the original item I traded for, they were kind of an "add-on", but I actually like them much better than the Orange Palys that were the main part of the trade.

I know everyone probably wants a FTS, and I'll think about it, but to be honest I'm kind of embarassed to post one. The main reason for that is that I'm so short on space right now that I have an eggcrate shelf draped across the top of the LR in this tank to hold several frags that I just don't have room for anywhere else.
I'm afraid it's not very aesthetically pleasing.

But I'll think about it...
