I know how hard it can be to wait on a results from tests like that. Hopefully good news will reach you soon!
Weetabix7
Good coffee and cookies can fix a world of Ick, at least for me. smile.gif
Thanks all.
I'll let you know what they say on Tuesday, but I am feeling much better about things after what they told me yesterday.
They were so nice too, treated me like a real person and were very considerate, not all cold and detached like I'm used to seeing from Medical type settings.

Hope everything comes back as benign weets. And migraines suck. Hopefully you can take the meds shortly and it will go away.

Waiting on the vet to call again. No real change with my pup. Second guessing myself as to whether I am doing the right thing, or if it would be better for him to let him go.

Hope the pup gets better soon. those things are always hard. my dog has epilepsy, and at first his fits were terrifying to use because we didn't know what the cause was.

Weets hope you hear good results!

sold?
pyronus
I can't for the life of me figure out why you sold it. I just got done welding the new floor pan into my Vdub.

sold?
99% sold. I'm driving 6 hours to deliver it and as long as it looks the same in person as it does in my tons of pictures, paragraphs, and youtube walk around video, it's sold.

QUOTE (pyronus @ Oct 1 2010, 10:44 PM) *
I can't for the life of me figure out why you sold it.
98% budget reasons. 2% it's not a very good autocross car because the blower bumps it up to an almost unlimited class where I can't afford to max out the rest of the rules. My sentra has most of the big rules in its class already covered, it will be a much more competitive car and with the profit from the miata (and no more payment) I can fix the few shortcomings on the sentra.

Bitter-sweet doesn't even begin to explain it.
pyronus
I would have gotten rid of the blower personally. Miata's are an amazing autocross car when done right. I have been eyeing the new STI's though, I wish I could afford one.

I can imagine its bittersweet. I had to sell the first car I ever built when I went to school to pay tuition. 79 VW Rabbit w/ high compression G60, I pretty much hand built that car from a rolling shell. I learned how to build a tune a race engine with that baby. We used to tow it to Watkins Glen for track days, ah the memories.
fewskillz
Even without the blower this is still an expensive car to start from scratch with, and not the ideal model either. Plus it would annoy the crap out of me to have the same exact car only 5x slower. I'll probably get another one, already modded, next year sometime. A cheaper, lighter, more desirable model.

The sentra and the fatter wallet will hold me over until then.
JoeD
The STI is the only car I have ever owned that I regret getting rid of....
If you haven't seen it google Ken Block gymkhana

Way too much medical stuff going on all around. Best wishes and fingers crossed for good results for everyone.

Have a great weekend.
DHaut
Last chance to vote for me in the RC contest...looks like I'm slightly ahead.
Markushka
congrats D on the RC contest (and I had nothing to do with it).

afternoon WL,

Where is everyone?
DHaut
what did i win?
DHaut
oh yeah, i guess i did win, lol. woot!
pyronus

Congrats DH!

Afternoon. Lazy rainy saturday afternoon here.
Markushka
fiddling with tanks here. probably gonna shuffle some tanks around, and prep one to drill.
DHaut
you should all go watch the Coral Rx video because it's hilarious.

Jerfrog
who builds glass tanks thats a member here and not a company
Markushka
I think there was a guy building tanks for a contest on here a while ago. can't remember who it was tho.
DHaut
didn't cdeliath make some tanks? they were acrylic though, i think. i don't know of any individuals making glass tanks that don't do it as a side biz.
dtfleming
Nano-Paul will cut the glass for you and ship it. He wont build it though.
DHaut
ok WL, it looks like I'll be getting something from John for this contest. I'd like to get an insump skimmer, dimensions about 10x8 or less, with plenty of power. Forget cost, what is the best out there? I really want it to be quiet, low power draw, and f'n strong as pulling crap out of the water. I'm a noob with this stuff.
Jerfrog
thanks DT. I was gonna have someone on here build me a tank out of acrylic but its just expensive. (want to go rimless) I think ill just have him build me a sump/fuge instead.

Whats the usual thickness of glass used for rimless tanks? Im thinking 36x36x15 or 36x30x15 semi-cube. Thanks for any and all help.

SW interventions never go well around here.

It probably would have gone better if I had been on yesterday. dry.gif

Joe if you hadn't bought it yet see my PM.

Weet's I hope your results are good. You are in our prayers. flower.gif

We went to a pumpkin patch yesterday and got lost for an hour or so in their large corn maze. It was lots of fun. I have an enormous pumpkin sitting in my front yard. Also, drove by Mr. Coral without stopping. I kinda wanted to see the $10 section in person, but my wallet wouldn't have appreciated it.

Hi Amber.

why is WL so dead tonight?
star27624
Tired over here. Between work and the sick pup, I am just drained.

I am hoping that the local that is looking for a 29g BC will go for mine.
DHaut
make him an offer he can't refuse.
pyronus
Ive been around, Get an SWC 160 or BM NAC7 D. I decided on the SWC because its a cone skimmer. The BM is 9.2x.5 the SWC is 9x7. Otherwise you are going to have to pay like $600 to step up to a Deltec in sump.
star27624
Hopefully he'll like the price I am asking for it. I want to do something different later down the road than an AIO. I might set my pico back up if I can sell the BC.
pyronus
Silicone is sticky stuff, sump building is fun times.

How quiet are they? I'm seeing the SWCs around - are they new to the market or something?
JoeD
Hey Amber, thanks for watching my back flower.gif
All is good.
D you deserved the win. Thanks for setting the bar..... Need to work on my scape a bit.

Hmmm quiet because people are enjoying a nice fall weekend?
DHaut
