WOW! It doesn't pay to be away too long! Look at all I missed. I can't believe I slept through all those yummy pancakes! Actually, I was almost up for them. Hubby couldn't sleep & kept me awake till after 4 AM. I'm awake now & have caught up on stolen credit card orders for Bibles & the Lounge. It looks like I need to head to the kitchen & whip up some cookies. You guys sure go through them! I had to resort to M&M's last night & it's all your fault!

So i'm thinking we should make her use some of that car window paint and write "I LOVE Nano-Reef.com" on her back window while driving to and from the LFS. When she arrives we need a photo of her next to her car with either a pirate eye patch or pirate hook (something pirate-y). For extra credit and to pick the initation for the next person, you have to hold a piece of bread at the same time.

ok Weet...my general impression on the article is that, overall, I agree with the end result of the article in that higher heavy metal concentrations tend to lead to higher mortality rates...so the simple solution should be to find the salt with the lowest concentrations of those. that said, we need to find someone's assessment of the different salt mixes other than what the companies report (I guarantee nearly every heavy metal will be higher in concentration than what the company says). Seems like there was a good report for that somewhere...I'll look later.

also interestingly...he implies that waterchanges may actually be a BAD thing (given that "used" IO is better than new IO). <---this is something that, with hobbyists who feed minimally, I might agree with given the current situation in Amber's tanks.
