WOW nice pics!!!!!!!!
what additives do u add to your tank?

Thanks for your kind word Apache, as i don't have a CA reactor, i dose calcium everyday in small amount.
Besides that, i also dose

iodine(1 drop daily), overdose can cause algae boom, if i forget to dose today, i will not dose 2 drop tomorrow.

strontium (also in small amount daily, about 5 drops), overdose can cause some harm to your clams if you have any.

KH in small amount daily (powder form)
and also trace elements.

I must admit that i am quite a lazy person, I only measure my parameter once a month (which i don't recommend)
But i do make it a point to make WC weekly of almost 2 pails. I think is about atleast 25gal of WC weekly.

My sump together with my tank is about 90gal.

dshnarw,In my country, the temperature is between 27 to 31 degrees all year round. But with my pumps and lightings on, is not surprise that it will rise up to 40 sleep.gif

j'field, your pictures are outstanding! You could publish your own reef book. I agree, that was a gorgeous scoly. I also particularly like your cup coral, blasto, and gorg. Just a super job all around!

Thanks c est ma for your compliment, you just bring me to heaven! I am still far from creating a beautiful reef tank and there's more for me to have, buy and learn. My knowledge is still not enough, not to say publish a reef book. Maybe that would be 10years later laugh.gif

Just to share afew more of my sad past pics due to the same sad incident which i am still sad when i think of it sleep.gif

Amazing shots, as always! glad to hear the shift went well. happy.gif

Thanks Duncan, not all went well actually. sleep.gif 2 fishes commited suicide during the shift. And accidentally killed 3 poly of red mushrooms while trying to attach them to rock with rubber bands. (and I'm not gonna try that again.) And afew of my corals got sting accidentally as well during the shifting and scaping sleep.gif But what I can say is that most are fine and recovering well to it orginally state. happy.gif
At the same time, I also took the opportunity to take out some fishes like my yellow tang and my hawkfish to reduce some bioload and at the same time to try out some nano fishes like gobies and nano inverterbrates like sexy shrimps....

I must warn you about the sexy shrimps. They will eventually turn into zoa eaters. Some said if you feed them enough, they won't touch the zoas but my experience said otherwise, or I'm just unlucky. huh.gif

Regardless of how much I feed them, they never give up on munching the forbidden 'fruit'. mad.gif

Imho, don't take the chance. It is just not worth it. Just my 0.02

happy.gif Thanks Duncan for the warning. I will keep a watchout! Actually I have already put them in my tank and right now they are hosting on my alveopora. Keeping my fingers cross huh.gif If I found out that they turn nasty, I will take them out immediately.

Actually, I have read some reviews. But was confused as some commented as 'reefsafe' and others 'not reefsafe'
So I guess it might also depends abit on luck too. Just like keeping pymgy angels. Some manage to keep safely with corals while others are not so lucky I guess.
