3 things 1. you will notice that fwe does not kill off flatworms completely unless you start with a high dosage straight from the get go. surviving fws will develop an immunity and you will need to dose stronger and stronger to eradicate them.
I do believe that so I'm not counting on them being gone for long. However, I'm hoping I detected the issue early enough, where there weren't too many to kill. With that said, I did see AT LEAST 40 dead worms floating 30secs after the normal dosage. My tank got 30 drops of it to account for the addt'l sump volume. I did delay the water change for 9 hours after treatment, so hopefully that helped to kill off the heartier ones. May need to resort to more natural means and pick up a six line.

2. bali seafan - looks like a blueberry gorgonian, so unless i'm wrong, its not going to survive long term. there has not been a single documented success story in keeping that species for longer than a few months.
Right again. I read that the blueberry gorgonian also goes by the name of "Bali Blue Sea Fan," and that it has not been documented to live more than several months. Too late now. It's already in my tank, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts. IT'S SO BLUE. What a shame, but I'm glad I only asked for a small $15 clipping from the main coral.

3. seachem reefsalt - high borate, which is an impurity, may cause some issues in the long run. i never liked this salt so i ditched it as the livestock simply didn't look as happy as before.
I'll see how it goes with seachem. It's only been a day, but I like not having to dose so much calcium. Alkalinity alone is tough enough to keep up with. Thanks for the comments, ez. Very helpful.

Ha. My daughter always says, "Daddy, why do you always spend so much time with your fish tank? I want you to spend time with ME!" I can smell trouble on the horizon.
