Hey everyone.
The nanowave 9s are confirmed inbound to me and due to arrive tomorrow.
To be completely honest, we dont want to put away the huge allotment we got, so we want to blow them out with a 1 day only sale.
Because the literature isnt completed by aquamedic, we dont have an official "white sheet" for it yet, but we will be coming up with one once they get into our hands.
Once they arrive, the price goes back up to 169.95 + shipping. Right now, if you order before they arrive tomorrow (we'll change it asap) you can get it for only 109.95 + shipping (limited to the first 20 customers)
SAVE HUGE!!!! For the hoopla on the Nanowave 9, search the forums for nanowave.
here is the link.

I'd like one chris but I gotta see some specs on it first. Perhaps if you dont get 20, save me one? Since it's just me and asin so far. Favor for an oldtimer (if the specs are right) ?

Yeah, no biggie.
It is
http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...amp;hl=nanowave9 Gallon Glass
Integrated Protein Skimmer
Integrated Refugium Light
2 x 24w PC
All in one design.
We will be modding them once they land, and the majority (beyond the 20) will be allocated for modified nanowaves.
Also, the presale orders are refundable within 30 days, just like our other products.

I thought these came with T5's.
ccjung
Nov 28 2006, 05:57 PM
No, you are confused with the REDSEA max, which comes with T5 PCs, (which by the way are nearly every single type of PC bulb. PCs come in T5 or T6 diameter bulbs).
Clever marketing... Lol.
Anyways, they are 2 x 24w PC (T5 form factor)

Chris,
What is your opinion on this new all-in-one nano? What plans do you have for upgrades? MH or T5HO perhaps?
Thanks!

do they make t5ho's small enough to fit under the hood?

The only units I saw were at the trade shows, and based on their initial fit/finish, I like them. The production units should vary only slightly if at all, and overall, I think the system is a great deal for the features they include.
Once they arrive, we will start coming up with modified versions, so far, its looking like a 3.24 (PC) and a 1.70 + 1.24 type setup (HQI). We expect to start offering the modded nanowaves by early next week.
Unfortunately at this time, they dont make T5HO, but they do have 11.5 inch T5s (same output per watt as PC).

I've wanted something between the nc6 (too small) and nc12 (too big) for my desk for a while now. I bit since I've always been impressed with aquamedic's stuff, so naturally I can't wait to see these.

Are these a fairly standard type/size/socket of bulb, or an Aquamedic proprietary kind of thing? I like brand/vendor options when replacing bulbs...

The bulbs are standard 24w PC bulbs, (4 pin horizontal). They are the exact same type as the NC 12/BC14 and many others.
BOOO on the freight company. Looks like they are coming in tomorrow.
YAAAY for NR members, they have more time to get the special price.

Oh dear lord I am geeking out about this thing (and of course have ordered one from Chris!). It seems to answer so many wants of nano-reefers, includes a decent level of stock lighting and is extremely affordable. How can they do it? I am assuming the stock pumps won't be great and I suppose the protein skimmer isn't a very expensive thing to make, but the whole package for the price seems almost too good to be true.
