Gobies Changing Colors?

I bought two yellow watchman gobies, one from my lfs and one online. The one online, pictured below was definitely grey and had some cool markings on the fins. The two moved into a cave together with mt tiger pistol and have been living happily together for the past eight months. Over time, the grey goby, Goby A, turned much more yellow and unfortunately lost some of the markings on its tail. Goby B has always been very yellow. Below are two pics. An older one with both of the gobies and then the second pic is the grey goby only now it is almost as yellow as the other. I read that the males are yellow and the females greyish, but I never heard of them changing colors. Really not much of a question. because I watched it happen. Anyone else ever have this happen? I'd love to hear the stories.

I don't have any info but that photo of the trio is really cool!
