Yeah the tank is looking somewhat packed. I just did it to get those SPS corals away from Tigahboy, hehehe. I think I will be upgrading pretty soon. I have some of the equipment, almost done. But the problem now is that I might I have to move pretty soon. If I move or not it might upgrade in about 2 months.

nice, what kind of camera are you using? I'm looking for a inexpensive digital cam, that has a "macro mode" that will take nice pix of my corals! any suggestions? right now i have a canon S400, and i cant seem to get good enuf pix :-(

thx, Mike

I just got this camera about 1 to 2 weeks ago and I love it. I was never able to use macro because my last camera was really old. I bought the Nikon 4100. I think it's an excellent price for what it can do. I got a package deal that came with everything. I got it from ebay. I searched for Nikon 4100 and that was it.

can you give me some info on maintnance and equip that you use?

I really dont have very elaborate equipment to be honest. All I have for example is my Penguin 330 filter (no bio-wheel), a cheap heater, a penguin powerhead, and well that's about it hahaha. I run a 250W AquaMedic MH pendant on that 20 gallon which I think gives me great coloration and growth for my sps. Like I said nothing very elaborate on this tank. Im about to do an upgrade so I really want my money to go into that project.

Maintenace. I do water changes every week or every two weeks, depending on how it looks. I know I should have a better method but there are times that I get too lazy. I was dosing CA into the tank but noticed that my CA levels were a bit high, so i discontinued that. I really should get a Skimmer for this 20 but the upgrade is stoping me.

I've had it running for about a year now. BUT my MH has been there for only 3 months, so i didn't have some of the corals that I do now.

thats cool bro!

you dont need a skimmer if you are changing water ever 1-2 weeks and you dont have a big bioload. also the water changes replenish the calcium in your water. your corals look nice and healthy. your sps has good color. that due to you god husbandry and your tank being well established. keep up th egood work. its going to look sweet once the sps grows out a bit. on your upgrade you will prb go balls out on the equip. adn prob not have the same success as you are now its wierd lol thats what i am experiancing right now = ) good luck! i wish i never tore down my smaller tank = (
