12" Coralife Aqualight LED Retro

After a long a long wait I finally got all of my pieces together and I finally got my LED light for my nano. I took my 12" 36w coralife aqualight apart and fitted a 8" X 4" heatsink in the fixture, added my LED's and wired it up and added my PS and pucks to my project box. I used a 6-wire quick connect to go from my PS to my fixture. I used 8 cree leds, 4 cool white and 4 royal blue, They are insanely bright when turned all of the way up. I used 2-30mm pc fans to cool the unit. I have 1 blowing in and 1 blowing out. They keep everything ice cold. I tried to keep the fixture as close to factory look as possible. The fixture got a little too hot when I was grinding on it and some of the paint discolored on the top but thats really about it.

Here is all my pics, Let me know what you think. Thanks,

Very nice. I'd do a couple venting holes in the plastic container for the power supply to breathe a bit

I would do more that a couple holes... It actually needs to be out in the open air if it isnt fan cooled from the factory... Thats why the unit has all the vent holes in it... Mine is a fan cooled PS.

I have 1 hole in each side but I can always add more. I am going to disect an old pc to rob some parts. Im going to rob the fans from it and add to the box. Thanks for the comments.
