I received my frags this morning..... packed very well. They arrived healthy but the colors are somewhat browned out. Nice sized frags! Can't wait to see them color up. I'll post pics later.

They're good sized frags but they have that stressed look. I'll feel better after I have them for a week or two. I kind of have the feeling that they might RTN. The tissue looks thin.

Dude, your frags are like DOUBLE the size of my frag, and mine is pretty much all white with a HINT of pink on one branch. Hopefully you didn't get a frag of the mellow yellow for free, cause that would tick me off lol

I didn't eve dip them (I usually dip everything in coral revive) because I was afraid to damage them. Keep your fingers crossed. SOMETIMES SPS are resilient. -------------------- SPS Solana Tank thead

Meh. Hard to tell. I haven't seen any signs of rebounding yet, but no signs of RTN either. Minimal polyp extension. It MAY be coloring up a LITTLE, though this could be wishful thinking. :

Mine came in like yours but the body is alot whiter with a very tiny hint of green. The tips are almost pure white. The polyps are the same color and extending a little. I guess it's hanging in there too. I put it on the sand bed. I'm afraid to move it higher, it might bleach even more. Should I move it higher or leave it on the sand?

I still have mine low just above the sandbed on a frag rack. I would recommend keeping it low until it starts looking somewhat normal. Mine is looking a little more healthy with better polyp extension. The color is still poor but I plan on moving it higher under the light soon so the color will probably improve. Thanks. I'll keep it there until it starts looking like yours, which is starting to look really nice. Mine is showing a little bit more polyp extension but the coloring is still about the same.
BTW, anyone know the ideal placement for the mellow yellow? I have it in the sand with the Strawberry Shortcake but I would like to start moving it to the proper spot now. The rest of the SPS pack corals I've already moved to the spots that I want them. Hopefully they are in the right spot. -------------------- |
